23:51 GMT - That's all for today's Football Tracker. Until next time!

23:27 GMT - Pep Guardiola has said Manchester City have earned their place among the perennial contenders for Champions League glory after beating Denmark's Copenhagen in the last 16.

"The important thing is being there (in the quarter-finals) seven years in a row, it's quite impressive," he said.

"We are well-respected from our opponents. The numbers are there - our consistency.

"I remember when I arrived, we didn't believe, the club didn't believe we could do it because we didn't have the hierarchy in Europe like teams in Spain or Germany. It was a question of time, a process."

Read more here.

22:48 GMT - So there we have it; PSG, Bayern Munich, Man City and Real Madrid all through to the quarter-finals. There are already some big names through, but who will join them?

Next week we have Barcelona against Napoli, Arsenal hosting Porto, Inter Milan heading to Atletico Madrid, and Dortmund taking on PSV.

22:39 GMT - You'd be forgiven for thinking Erling Haaland might score more goals tonight, but his strike at the end of the first half was still enough to bring him level with Harry Kane and Kylian Mbappe at the top of the tournament's goalscorer standings.

22:31 GMT - Man City failed to score a goal in the second half, but Manuel Akanji - who was first on the scoresheet this evening - feels his side 'did what they had to do' in their 3-1 victory over Copenhagen.

"The first two goals that we scored in the first half, that made it easy for us because then we were already up four goals, so it was pretty hard for them to come back - they scored one," he said.

"We did what we had to do."

Asked if he feels Man City are the team to beat in the Champions League, he said: "We will see how the tournament goes. We feel good right now.

"We're confident going into the next round, we'll see who we'll play. I think we're still one of the favourites but we have to prove it."

22:21 GMT - Here's a look back at how Vinicius Junior's goal unfolded, set up by a superb little pass from Jude Bellingham. At the time, Real Madrid thought they were cruising, but it didn't take long for RB Leipzig to respond.

21:54 GMT - FULL-TIME: It's all over in Manchester where Pep Guardiola's side have secured their place in the quarter-finals with a comfortable 3-1 victory at the Etihad. It looked like it was going to be a landslide when City went 2-0 ahead with barely ten minutes on the clock, but Mohamed Elyounoussi then pulled one back for the Danish visitors. However, as is often the case, Erling Haaland was the man to put the result beyond doubt with a strike at the end of the first half. No goals in the second half, but a case of job done for Manchester City. Read the full match report here.

21:52 GMT - FULL-TIME: There's the full-time whistle in Madrid and it's Real Madrid who go through to the quarter-finals of the Champions League. The Spanish giants held a 2-0 aggregate lead after Vinicius Junior's goal late in the second half, but it only lasted a couple of minutes before Willi Orban brought his side level on the night. However, that was to be the last goal of the tie as Real Madrid helt out to progress. Read the full match report here.

21:26 GMT - GOAL! Well that didn't last long. The ball is whipped into the box and Willi Orban gets low to nod the ball past the keeper and bring his side level on the night. Real Madrid start sweating again!

21:24 GMT - GOAL! Jude Bellingham makes a good run to the penalty area and threads a perfect pass through to Vinicius Junior who slots home with his first touch. A 1-0 lead tonight, but more crucially a 2-0 lead on aggregate for Real Madrid.

20:53 GMT - We've had the half-time whistle in Madrid too, where the score is 0-0. The Spanish giants only have a 1-0 lead over RB Leipzig on aggregate, so they will be hoping for a few goals to ease the pressure in the second half.

20:50 GMT - That's half-time in Manchester. It looked ominous for Copenhagen when they went 2-0 down with barely ten minutes on the clock thanks to Manuel Akanji and Julian Alvarez, but when they scored through Mohamed Elyounoussi it looked as through the visitors might be able to provide a shock this evening. However, Erling Haaland, so often the man for the moment, gave City a 3-1 on the stroke of half-time.

20:49 GMT - GOAL! It's that man Erling Haaland who fights off the attention of two defenders to break free and score in the bottom right corner via a deflection. Right on the stroke of half-time.

20:30 GMT - GOAL! Hang about, Copenhagen have scored! Mohamed Elyounoussi the man to provide a slick finish after a break down the left to bring his side back into tonight's game, if not the tie. A faint chant of "Who are ya?" can be heard from the Copenhagen fans - they're having fun tonight no matter what.

20:11 GMT - GOAL! Julian Alvarez struck the ball with impressive power, but it's a howler from the goalkeeper, really - the ball has gone straight through his hands. 2-0 and we've only had 10 minutes.

20:06 GMT - GOAL! It's taken City less than five minutes to score tonight, and it's Manuel Akanji with a well controlled side-foot strike to put his team 1-0 up. Clinical from City and ominous for Copenhagen.

20:00 GMT - And we're off! Tonight's Champions League fixtures in Manchester and Madrid are underway as City host Copenhagen and Real Madrid welcome RB Leipzig. Will there be any shocks this evening?

19:56 GMT - Harry Kane and Kylian Mbappe each scored a pair of goals as Bayern Munich and PSG booked their places in the Champions League quarter-finals last night. Here are this season's top goalscorers in the competition - can Erling Haaland make his way up the list tonight?

19:20 GMT - Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has made just one change to the team that drew 2-2 with Valencia over the weekend, with Spain defender Nacho starting in place of Brazil forward Rodrygo.

RB Leipzig, meanwhile, have made two changes; Lois Openda comes in alongside Xaver Schlager, who has served a domestic suspension.

Real Madrid are expected to do the same against RB Leipzig, but things are much tighter ahead of their second-leg match after Los Blancos earned a 1-0 win in Germany.

22:34 GMT - Kylian Mbappe scored twice in PSG's victory this evening, and cut a relaxed and satisfied figure in his post-match interview.

"We are really happy with the result, with the qualification. We wanted to go to the quarter-final and we did a nice game," he told TNT Sports.

"It was tough because it's never easy to come and to win an away game but it's what we did and now we are ready for the next one."

Mbappe has scored six goals in this Champions League campaign, putting him level with Harry Kane at the top of the standings.

"It's what I do," the striker said. "It's what I like to do - what I can do. My job is to help the team; to score goals, to help offensively, defensively, and today I did a nice job."

22:21 GMT - In the Championship, Ipswich scored a dramatic late winner to clinch victory against Bristol City and keep the pressure on leaders Leicester, who themselves snapped a three-match losing streak in the league by beating Sunderland.

Elsewhere, Coventry scored five past sorry Rotherham, Leeds kept their good run of form going and Plymouth succumbed to a stubborn Sheffield Wednesday performance.

21:53 GMT - FULL-TIME: It's all over in Munich. 21:51 GMT - GOAL! It's not going to change tonight's result, but a goal from Mikel Merino has finally given Real Sociedad fans something to cheer about late on.

21:25 GMT - GOAL! Harry Kane has two for Bayern. Leroy Sane was the man to force a save from the keeper, and Kane was on hand to tap the rebound into the goal for a 3-0 lead on the night.

21:19 GMT - GOAL! It's that man Kylian Mbappe again, and that's likely to be that in this tie. The Frenchman breaks down the left and makes out that he's going to send the ball across the keeper, but he cooly slots it into the near-post corner for a four goal aggregate lead for PSG.

21:07 GMT - Meanwhile, in the Championship matches Leeds and Leicester are 1-0 up over Stoke and Sunderland respectively, while Ipswich's match with Bristol City remains goalless at half-time.

21:03 GMT - It doesn't look quite as dominant for PSG at Real Sociedad in terms of the stats, but they crucially brought a two-goal lead into tonight's game, and a stunning strike from Kylian Mbappe - which punctured the side netting - has made things all the more comfortable for the French giants.

20:50 GMT - HALF-TIME: That's the break in the two Champions League fixtures. Things are going according to plan for PSG who are 1-0 up against Real Sociedad thanks to an emphatic strike from Kylian Mbappe, putting them three up on aggregate.

It didn't look like that would be the case for Bayern Munich as the minutes ticked by without a score, but a pair of headers from Harry Kane and Thomas Muller has given them a one-goal lead on aggregate with a two-goal lead in Munich.

20:48 GMT - GOAL! What a goal that is! Matthijs de Ligt has absolutely thundered the ball towards goal from the edge of the box, and Thomas Muller gets the faintest of touches with his head to send it goalwards for a 2-0 lead on the night.

20:40 GMT - GOAL! It's Harry Kane as well! Things were looking ominous for Bayern Munich as the minutes ticked by without a goal, but the England striker was in the right place at the right time to head the ball into the corner from close range and bring his side level on aggregate.

20:18 GMT - GOAL! Real Sociedad have a real mountain to climb now as they go 1-0 down early on. No surprise as to who it is that scores the goal, Kylian Mbappe the man to put PSG three goals ahead in the tie.

20:00 GMT - And that's kick-off in the two Champions League ties, with Real Sociedad hosting a PSG side captained by Kylian Mbappe and Bayern Munich in desperate need of a win against Lazio.

19:46 GMT - While we wait for the Champions League games to get underway, it's worth mentioning that we've just had kick-off off in various Championship fixtures across the country. With Leicester, Leeds and Ipswich all in action tonight we could see more jostling for those automatic promotion spots.

19:26 GMT - Nuno Mendes, Bradley Barcola, Warren Zaire-Emery, Fabian Ruiz and Ousmane Dembele start for PSG in five changes from the side that drew 0-0 with Monaco last week. Kylian Mbappe captains the side.

Real Sociedad have made no fewer than eight changes to the side that lost 3-2 at Sevilla last weekend, with Kieran Tierney one of the unlucky ones to drop out.

22:56 GMT - An incredibly difficult night for Chris Wilder, who said Arsenal were on "a different planet" tonight.

"From our point of view, some disappointing performances all over the park," Wilder said.

"When you're not at a level that gives you half a chance, you're just going to get punished and punished really brutally like we have done today.

"They were in a different league, a different planet to us. We couldn't lay a glove on them."

22:49 GMT - Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta was delighted with his side's performance, but remained keen to remind them that the job is far from done.

"I love the way the team played, the quality we showed, the aggresion as well - with and without the ball. We were really determined from the beginning," he said.

"We have to continue to do what we are doing.

"We will enjoy that today, and tomorrow is Brentford and Brentford and Brentford."

22:32 GMT - There was also a nice little exchange between Martin Odegaard and 'celebration police' Jamie Carragher in the post-match interview.

Carragher asked, tongue in cheek: "It was a fantastic performance by yourself, a great win for the team. I just didn't see the photographer on the pitch. Is he in the dressing room?"

Odegaard responded with a big smile: "I was waiting for you to say something! I was too scared to do it today. I went straight inside today."

22:26 GMT - Odegaard said a fast start was part of his side's plans in order to keep Sheffield United out of the game from the outset.

"When we had the ball we were in a good mood today and we created a lot," he said. "We scored the goals early on and kept on going from there, so in the end it was a solid and nice performance."

"We wanted to keep the momentum going. We've had some good games now in the league and we wanted to keep it up."

21:57 GMT - FULL-TIME: The full whistle finally sounds to put Sheffield United out of their misery, although the agony won't subside for some time.

In truth the game was effectively over within 15 minutes, but if there is any shred of comfort for Chris Wilder, it's that his side only conceded the one goal in the second half.

Arsenal, meanwhile, move to within two points of leaders Liverpool at the top of the Premier League. A ruthless performance from Mikel Arteta's men. Read the full match report here.

21:18 GMT - GOAL! There is a quiet period at the beginning of the second half that lulls everyone into thinking Sheffield United may have stopped the rot, but then Kai Havertz tees up Ben White in the box and normal service is resumed as the ball goes whistling past the outstretched arm of Ivo Grbic. Arsenal have scored six goals and no player has scored twice.

20:50 GMT - It's half-time at Bramall Lane and you'd have to wonder what Chris Wilder could possibly say to his team to get them up for the second half. There was a chorus of boos from the home fans - those that stayed, anway - when the referee's whistle went and you could hardly blame them.

20:39 GMT - GOAL! Arsenal are humiliating Sheffield United out there. Bukayo Saka once again delivers the ball into the box on a cut-back and it's Declan Rice's turn to send the ball past the helpless Ivo Grbic. 5-0 up and it's not even half-time.

20:25 GMT - GOAL! Some of the Sheffield United fans are shown on the broadcast heading for the exit, but they don't make it out in time to avoid hearing the roar from the Arsenal fans as Kai Havertz makes it 4-0 with a neat finish after the home side coughed up the ball without a fight in their own half.

20:15 GMT - GOAL! Goodness me. Gabriel Martinelli strikes the ball well just inside the box, and a touch from Declan Rice - seemingly unintential - sends the ball past the wrong-footed Ivo Grbic. Arsenal are 3-0 ahead after 15 minutes. This could get ugly for Chris Wilder's side - again.

20:13 GMT - GOAL! Sheffield United are already crumbling at Bramall Lane as Jayden Bogle struggles to contain Bukayo Saka's cross, only managing to guide the ball into his own net as Arsenal go 2-0 up.

20:05 GMT - GOAL! Sheffield United were put on notice by Arsenal through a series of early breaks, and in the end it's less that five minutes in that Martin Odegaard gets the ball in the box and tucks it past the keeper for a 1-0 lead.

20:00 GMT - With a blow of the referee's whistle we are off at Bramall Lane! Can Arsenal move to within two points of Liverpool with victory over Sheffield United tonight? Follow the match live here.

19:05 GMT - Mikel Arteta has named an unchanged team following Arsenal's victory over Newcastle last time out. However, the good news for Gunners fans is that Thomas Partey is named on the bench after recovering from an injury he suffered in October. Partey is joined on the bench by Gabriel Jesus.

Meanwhile, Chris Wilder has made two changes to the side that lost 1-0 to Wolves last Sunday, with striker Ollie McBurnie brought in along with Tom Davies.

"That gives you the possibility to be in the Champions League, so we know it's going to be hard, but we have to do everything that is on our hands that we can do."
