Cross was victorious in the other semi-final, edging past Wright 11-10 - with his opponent missing three match winners in the final leg.

Although pushing Cross all the way, Wright failed bounce back from his World Championships disappointment - where he was eliminated in the round of 16 by Kim Huybrechts - and didn't make the final.
