With one eye on the end of the year and the Darts World Championships, many players will be keeping their form up to its best as the 2025 European Championships takes place this week.
The tournament in Dortmund sees the top 32 players on the 2025 European Tour rankings compete for the European Championship title. Played at Dortmund's Westfalenhalle from October 23-26, the 32 tungsten throwing maestros will also be competing for a total prize fund of £600,000.

Who’s playing?
The European Championship is the grand finale of the 2025 European Tour. The top 32 players from the European Tour Order of Merit, based on 14 events on the European Tour, now come together for the showpiece event at the highest level.
Some of the biggest names in Darts will be competing, and there are no two bigger right now than Luke Littler and Luke Humphries. The top two players in the PDC Order of Merit will be in Dortmund with a sub-plot to their rivalry, with Littler having the chance to overtake Humpries as World No.1.
The Order of Merit is placed on prize money, with Humphries currently owning a £52,500 advantage over Littler. If Littler wins the tournament, he will definitely top the rankings for the first time ever; however, Littler could take top spot if results go his way. That would be the first time Humphries has not been No.1 since January 2024.
No.1 on the European Tour Order of Merit is Nathan Aspinall, who has won three European titles this season and will fancy himself here after winning the German Darts Championship on October 19. Other big names like Gerwyn Price, Jonny Clayton, Peter Wright, Damon Heta, Stephen Bunting, Chris Doby, Josh Rock, Raymond van Barneveld, Rob Cross and Michael van Gerwen will also feature over the four-day event.
