The PDC European Tour is approaching its finale, with the Hungarian Darts Trophy marking the 12th stop of 14. The action heads to Budapest from 19 to 21 September 2025.

What is the Hungarian Darts Trophy?

The Hungarian Darts Trophy is part of the Professional Darts Corporation’s European Tour. First held in 2021, this year marks its fifth staging.

What is the European Tour?

The European Tour is a series of tournaments on the PDC Pro Tour. In 2025, there were 14 events -- one more than in 2024. Alongside these are the Players Championship events, which also form part of the wider Pro Tour calendar.

What format will be used?

A field of 48 players will compete across six rounds.

Rounds one to the quarter-finals: best of 11 legs.

Semi-finals: best of 13 legs.

Final: best of 15 legs.

The traditional double-out format applies.

Qualification follows the standard European Tour rules:

The top 16 in the world rankings qualify automatically.

The next best 16 from the Pro Tour rankings also gain entry.

Ten places are decided via the Tour Card Holder Qualifier.

Additional slots are filled by winners of the Nordic and Baltic, Eastern Europe and Host Nation qualifiers.
