Scotland's Gary Anderson clinched European Tour 4 at the Glaspalast in Sindelfingen, Germany on Sunday. The Scot has been unsuccessful so far this calendar year, struggling with a big dip in form, but during this weekend he remained unbeaten for five rounds to eventually defeat Ross Smith in the final.
Gary Anderson was seeded 14th in Germany and won 6-3 over Christian Perez in the second round.
On Sunday afternoon, Anderson then won 6-4 over Gerwyn Price. Then the quarter-finals became a nail-biter against Josh Rock: 6-5. The semi-final against Rob Cross was a 7-5 win for the Scot, who then handled Ross Smith 8-6 in the final.
The Englishman had beaten Luke Woodhouse 6-2 on his way to the final in Germany, Ritchie Edhouse 6-5, Damon Heta by the same figures and Michael van Gerwen (7-6) in the semi-finals. Danny Noppert fell in the last eight against Rob Cross (6-1).
Raymond van Barneveld went out a round earlier against Michael Smith (6-5).
