Stephen Bunting has won the Nordic Darts Masters 2025 in Copenhagen, beating Rob Cross 8-4 to clinch his second title of this year and extend his lead in the World Series Order of Merit.

Bunting and Cross were the only title winners so far in the current World Series season, and that fine form continued as both reached the final again on Saturday.

While Cross won the Dutch Darts Masters, Bunting reached the final of that event and won the Bahrain Darts Masters a week earlier.

The match started evenly as Cross managed a 116 checkout, but after six legs, it was 3-3 with no breaks of throw.

'Voltage' then completely lost the thread, allowing 'The Bullet' to take control of the final.

With two breaks, it was soon 7-3. Cross still managed to hold his throw to make it 7-4, but was then unable to break back.

"The way I have been playing, I was wondering whether I would ever win a title again," Bunting said after the win, having lost his last nine games against Cross in all competitions.

"I am really proud of myself the last few days. I have put the effort in, played some great darts, and I believe I am a deserved winner.

"When you come and play in front of a crowd like this, you don't want to let them down.

"I saw there were a lot of Bunting fans out there, and they really get me through. It was a privilege to play in front of them and hopefully I can maintain this form for the rest of the season."

Bunting remains in first place in the World Series Order of Merit with 32 points, with Cross just behind on 21.

Gerwyn Price (18) is third, while Luke Littler - eliminated in the quarter-finals by Nathan Aspinall - sits in fourth with 11 points.
