The PDC Players Championship is the last stop on the way to the World Championships and will see players descend on Minehead for some huge darting action, including Luke Littler and Luke Humphries.

The PDC Players Championship Finals 2025 is the last stop for these tungsten throwers before the World Championships in December. This is one of the most important tournaments in the darts calendar, acting as a season-ending showdown for the top Players Championship performers and the final big test before Ally Pally.

If you want to know when it’s on, where it’s played, the prize money, how players qualify, where to watch on TV and live stream, and how to follow live scores, Flashscore has everything here in one place.

What is the PDC Players Championship Finals?

The Players Championship Finals is a live TV event for the PDC ProTour featuring the top 64 players from the Players Championship Order of Merit, different to the PDC World Rankings.

The tournament is played over legs (not sets), so matches are fast and high-pressure, which can even break some of the top stars and create new ones.

For darts fans, the PDC Players Championship Finals 2025 acts as a form guide for the World Darts Championship, hinting at who could go deep come the December tournament. For the players, this is a key event for rankings and prize money at the end of the PDC season.

PDC Players Championship Finals 2025 prize money

The Players Championship Finals prize money is one of the biggest outside the World Championship and Premier League. This year, the total prize fund is expected to be approximately £600,000, with a prize structure similar to that of recent editions.

Here’s a full breakdown of what we believe the structure to look like:

Winner: £120,000

Runner-up: £60,000

Semi-finalists: £30,000

Quarter-finalists: £20,000

Last 16: £10,000

Last 32: £6,500

Last 64: £3,00

With such a lucrative payday on offer, it’s big for the players to do well in Minehead. All money won contributes to their seeding on the PDC Order of Merit, which shapes seeds for future majors.

How do players qualify?

Qualification for the Players Championship Finals 2025 is based purely on the Players Championship events, not the main Order of Merit. The PDC has a series of Players' Championship floor tournaments across the season, which earn them prize money in these events. Only money from these events counts towards the Players Championship Order of Merit.

After the final floor event, the top 64 on that Order of Merit qualify for the PDC Players Championship Finals 2025.

Players to watch at Minehead

Newly crowned PDC World Number 1 Luke Littler is taking part in the Players Championship and comes in seeded 32nd. His first round match is against the dangerous Swede Jeffrey de Graaf.

Champion of the last two years, Luke Humphries, will be smarting from his loss to Littler in the Grand Slam of Darts final, which saw him relinquish his number-one ranking to his rival. Being ranked 58th in the Players Championship means he has an even more difficult first round match against Gian van Veen, who is looking to retain the World Youth Championship Finals as well at Minehead.

With Littler and Humphries on opposite sides of the draw, we could be in for another Littler v Humphries final.

Gerywn Price is the top seed at the tournament and is the third favourite at the bookmakers to win after Littler and Humphries. The Iceman has been showing some of his best form in years in 2025 and will look to go as deep as he can in this tournament. In the first round, he faces the German, Max Hopp.

Josh Rock is another player who should be one to watch at Butlins. The Northern Irishman is showing signs that he can be a World Champion of the future, and after winning the World Cup this year with Daryl Gurney, he will be hoping to win a singles title soon. He plays Gabriel Clemens in round one.
