22:59 GMT - What a night this has been at Alexandra Palace with three seeds dropping out of the world championships. Martin Schindler, Ross Smith, and the biggest name so far, two-time champion Gary Anderson, all falling at the first hurdle.
But all credit to Dimitri van den Bergh who isn't one of the 11 seeds to drop out at this stage so far with a very composed display against Dylan Slevin.

He said: "I got better and better because I was getting more and more comfortable. I got better and better because I have been working really hard.
"I have to say thank you to you guys (looking at the crowd). You have been.. very important to me, so thank you.
"Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and the most important part: have a lovely Christmas dinner."
22:47 GMT - Dimitri van den Bergh beats Dylan Slevin 3-0 to ease into the third round
3-2: Slevin must make a 156 checkout but can only score 140. The Belgian hits his sixth 180 of the match and has three darts at tops to go through to the third round. He takes his time, blows his fingers, and nails the D20 with his first throw! As cool as you like.
2-2: Slevin fights back to push the third set into a fifth leg. Van den Bergh hits 140 but Slevin takes tops to clear 94 and keep his slim hopes alive.
2-1: Brutal from van den Bergh. He misses D18 to take out 90 but returns to take D7 for a 36 checkout and leave Slevin on the brink.
1-1: Slevin reduces his score to 32 and nails the D8 with Van de Bergh waiting to pounce on 16. That was a crucial leg to win for the Irishman. He needs to win the next two to stay in the championship.
1-0: Van Den Bergh takes the opening leg once again and starts with a maximum before Slevin grabs his second 180 of the match. The Belgian reduces his score to 152 and hits the D16 at the second attempt to hold the leg.
22:33 GMT - Van Den Bergh takes a 2-0 lead over Slevin
3-2: Slevin edges ahead to 252 but Van den Bergh makes a brilliant visit of 171 to reduce his score 97, but then fluffs a D3 for a checkout. He returns for 52 and smashes home the 52 with double tops to take the leg and set.
2-2: Van Den Bergh hits a 180 to take control and has six darts at 64, hitting D4 to draw level for a fifth and deciding leg.
1-2: Slevin hits his first 180 of the match as Van den Bergh throws his third moments later. The Irishman reduces 140 to 47 in two visits but can’t find the D10 until his final visit.
1-1: Van den Bergh hits 18, but then misses two on 9 for 76 checkout and it’s over to Slevin who pins on tops to level the legs with a 52.
1-0: Slevin has the throw and it’s Van den Bergh with his second 180 to reduce his score to 96 with Slevin on 100. Can he break for the first time in the match? He’s close, narrowly wide of the D8 but Slevin can’t finish on 60 with the Belgian pinning the D8 and the break.

3-2: A wasp interrupts Slevin’s pace but it clearly doesn’t hold him back too much as he pins a maximum moments later. But back comes Van den Bergh who takes the leg with a brilliant 117 checkout with double tops with Slevin on 185 after a poor visit of 44.
2-2: Slevin halves 280 to give himself a great shot at levelling the legs but misses the T20. He takes the double tops on his next visit and we’re all square.
2-1: Slevin can take the lead with a 140 checkout but is happy to leave it at 40. Van den Bergh needs 80 to win but leaves 47. Slevin fails to land the D10 and is punished with Van den Bergh clocking D16 for the leg.
1-1: The Belgian puts in 140 to leave 160 but Slvein has a 96 checkout and nails the D18 to level the legs.
1-0: Van den Bergh takes the opening leg after reducing 140 down to 78. The Belgian hits D12 to hold.
22:11 GMT - We move on to the final match of the night as Dimitri van den Bergh, the UK Open champion, comes up against Dylan Slevin. The players are walking out and we're minutes away. Van den Bergh will throw first.
22:04 GMT - Jeffrey De Graff has been speaking to Sky Sports after his scintillating win over Gary Anderson.
"It is great," he said. "Gary didn’t show up as he usually does but I am very happy with the win.
"I got very nervous after the first set and when I was 2-0 up I was thinking ‘what is going on now?’
"It has been the best year, definitely. I am happy to be here and let’s keep going."

2-3: De Graff takes 216 down to 76 with Andersson taking 223 to 86. Three darts for the Swede to win it and nails the D18 to beat Anderson in straight sets! It has only taken 21 minutes. That is the biggest shock of the tournament so far. Absolutely sensational performance from De Graff.

1-1: Is this the beginning of the comeback? Anderson has never lost at this stage of the world championship and hits a 180 and 135 to leave 46. He hits double tops for a much-needed leg in 11-darts.
0-1: Anderson lands 11 instead of 14 and is in trouble here. De Graaf checks out 56 with a D18 to win the opening leg of the third set. This game has lasted 13 minutes and Gary Anderson, on his birthday, is staring at defeat.

0-3: Ally Pally falls silent and a shock is very much on the cards. Anderson fails to land the D20 and D10 and misses three attempts on D5! De Graaf is in wonderland as he takes a 74 checkout with D16 to win the second set!
0-2: Anderson has six darts but fails D12, D6 or D3 with De Graaf on 32 and takes D8 after planting 16 by mistake. The Swedish star doubles his lead.
0-1: This is frantic stuff. Anderson has the throw but fails to checkout 100. De Graaf comes for 36 and nails the D18 for the opening leg.
21:34 GMT - Away from the action for a moment as the PDC have provided an update on Sandro Eric Sosing, who withdrew from his opening match against Ian White on Friday.
"Sosing had reported numbness and muscle pains while preparing for the game, and after assessment by on-site medical staff was taken to a local hospital for further tests," the statement said.
"He has subsequently undergone neurological assessment and been diagnosed with having GBS Guillain-Barré syndrome.
"He remains under medical care in hospital but hopes to be able to travel home soon.
"Sandro would like to thank everyone who has enquired after his wellbeing for their well wishes and kind messages."

2-3: Nebrida can see the finishing line and Smith can barely look. Smith really needs 103. The Englishman hits T20, 11, but misses D16 – another double miss. Nebrida has 48 left and hits D16 for the match and clinches his biggest win of his career!
2-2: Is the comeback on? Smith reduces his score to 161 and 36 with Nebrida on 242 and 102. Smith then misses D18 before hitting D9. It’s difficult to watch but Smith is clawing his way back into this.
1-2: Smith hits a maximum but is this too little too late? He has six darts on 120 but agonisingly misses double tops and then clocks 20 on his next visit before landing D10 – finally a double – to win his first leg of the set.
0-2: Nebrida is growing in confidence and whollops home a 180 to start the leg before reducing to 140. Smith looks frustrated and stunned, and hits 60 on his next visit but misses leg dart on D16. Nebrida takes D8 and wins it – he’s one leg away from the match!
Smith has missed 16 doubles in the match so far. Unbelievable.
0-1: Nebrida has the throw but a brilliant 160 by Smith on 181 leaves him 16 for a possible 13-dart finish. He misses the first D8 and two on the D4! Nebrida is on 118 and powers home a fantastic checkout by hitting T20, 18 and D20 to win the leg! Wow.
Smith has a mountain to climb to be back after Christmas after falling 2-0 down. The key here is hitting the doubles: Smith has a 25% success rate compared to Nebrida’s 86%.
20:28 GMT - Nebrida goes 2-0 up with poor checkouts costing Smith
2-3: Nebrida hits another 180 to leave 236 and then reduces to 142. Smith leaves 71 and twice misses D10 – this is crucial! Nebrida on 52 hits 12 and the D20 to go 2-0 up! A huge shock is on the cards. Smith is on the ropes here.
2-2: You feel this is a crucial leg for Smith and Nebrida. Nebrida reduces to 116 and Smith on 80 with two D19s, but it’s Nebrida who levels the legs with a superb 116 checkout and closes on double tops. Win the next leg and Nebrida will be 2-0 up.
2-1: Both Smith and Nebrida have 164 remaining as Smith closes to 24. Nebrida twice misses T20 and reduces his score to 117. Smith misses two attempts on D6 but it’s not punished by Nebrida who punches T5 by mistake. Smith then takes D3 to finally win the leg and edge back in front.

2-3: Smith nails 180 with Nebrida on 164 but immediately misses the T20 on his next visit. This is a big moment as his score only whittles down to 68. Nebrida misses double tops and it’s over to Smith for the leg. He hits T5, single 13, but then misses set dart on tops! Nebrida steps up and makes no mistake. The fifth leg and first set is his.
2-2: Both averages hover around 90 as Smith, on throw, needs the leg to stay in the opening set. But he hits 60 on 157 to allow Nebrida in. The Filipino star can only score 60 on a 150 checkout as Smith hits D10, after missing double tops, to win the leg.
1-2: Nebrida hits his first maximum before whittling his score slowly down from 262 and 179 to 120. Smith struggles to capitalise as Nebrida hits the D10 for a brilliant 120 checkout.
1-1: Smith holds his throw with a 78 checkout on D12 to level the legs.
0-1: Nebrida cuts 138 to 80 and takes the opening leg with D10 with Smith on 141. It's a slow start, but a very calm and composed finish from Nebrida.

0-3: What a start! Rydz clocks his third 180 of the match, but it's the finish that tells the story: Schindler misses all six attempts after taking out 134. Rydz then misses double tops and match dart on the D10. The German can't find D5 as Rydz hits D10 to win the match in straight sets. He throws his arms up in delight and goes through to the third round.
0-2: Rydz misses double tops for a 116 checkout but Schindler misses the bull allowing the world number 43 to take the D10 for the leg – he’s one leg away!
0-1: Rydz has never beaten the German champion in 12 attempts – will tonight be the night? Schindler misses double tops for a 68 checkout allowing Rydz to take D7 for a break of throw and the opening leg.
19:36 GMT - Rydz punishes sloppy Schindler to take a 2-0 lead

16:20 GMT - Ian White has been speaking to the press after his win over Ritchie Edhouse and said facing Luke Littler in round three is "gold".
"Loving it. That’s what I wanted," he said. "Absolutely gold. He’s put darts on the map again. He’s number two and I’m number one (laughs)."
When asked about what he needs to improve in order to beat Littler, he said: "What did he do yesterday? I’ll leave that to you! I'll be up there enjoying it like everyone else."
16:00 GMT - Ian White beats Ritchie Edhouse 3-1 and will face Luke Littler in round three
1-3: White slams home a double tops to complete a sensational 118 checkout – the highest of the match - under pressure. The former European champion Edhouse is out, and White reaches the third round for the first time since 2022!
1-2: Edhouse is on 125 and hits the bull, outerbull, and just needs the bull – but he takes the outerbull! Agonising. White takes tops for a 110 checkout.
1-1: Edhouse is on throw and needs 116 but misses the D18. He’s a long way off, but hits the D9 to win the leg. Everything just seems such hard work for him at the moment.
0-1: White takes 88 to leave six darts on 40 and, for seemingly the thousandth time this afternoon, hits double tops. Edhouse is in trouble here.
15:55 GMT - White comes from behind to take a 2-1 lead
1-3: Edhouse is on 100 but White misses the D4 for a 64 checkout. Can Edhouse do a ton? He misses the D19 leaving White with a D2 for the leg and set - and he gets it!
1-2: White is averaging 84.29 to Edhouse’s 80.95 and can win the leg with a 97 checkout, but he leaves 40 and nails the D20 on his next visit to take the lead.
1-1: White hits a maximum, his second of the match, but scores 36 on an 83 checkout. Edhouse misses D6 but can White punish him? He does! Double tops and the leg is his. We're all level.
1-0: Edhouse needs to clear 119 with White on 14 but fails to do so, hitting a single 20 in frustration. White then fails on D7 as Edhouse takes double tops with his third dart.

1-3: The winner of this game will face Luke Littler in the third round and both will need significant improvement if they're to pose a challenge. White on 96 leaves 20 as Edhouse fails to land 150 checkout - he hits 47 to leave 103, as White comes back to the oche to win the leg - and set - on tops.
1-2: White completes a 40 checkout with double tops. Edhouse puts his face in his hands after failing to land 111.
1-1: White levels the legs with double tops.
1-0: Edhouse finally takes the leg with double tops to complete an 80 checkout. He raises his eyes with White missing several doubles on 24. Edhouse has won only 33.33% of checkouts with White on 10%.

3-1: Edhouse takes a maximum and the first set with a 13-darter ending on a D12.
2-1: Edhouse fails to checkout 56 but has three darts on 10 and punches the D5 with his second dart to win the leg.
1-1: White fails to hold throw on D10 but Edhouse misses D18 allowing White back. He wins his first leg of the match with D1. The averages are very low – 76.64 for Edhouse and 74.06 for White.
1-0: Edhouse misses D3 for an 82 checkout but it’s not punished by White. Edhouse misses all three darts again as White misses all doubles, but Edhouse punches the air when he comes back to the oche to seal the first leg. That was poor finishing.
15:11 GMT - The final game of the afternoon session will begin shortly as Ritchie Edhouse faces Ian White.
White enters the tournament at this stage after his first round opponent Sandro Eric Sosing withdrew through illness.
15:10 GMT - Perhaps the 'worst interview award of the year' goes to Cullen after that win. On whether he let the darts do the talking, he told Sky Sports "yeah I did". And whether that's the best he's felt on the big stage, he says: "Yeah". Short and sweet, I guess.
Cullen later stormed out of a press conference, blaming the media for being disrespectful.

3-1: Cullen misses D10 for the match and Nijman needs 81 to stay in it – but misses the double tops! Both are on 20 and Cullen slams home the D10 to win the leg, set and match! What a stunning performance. He will face Gerwyn Price in the last 32 after Christmas.
2-1: Cullen has a huge chance to take the lead with an 83 checkout and nails the D16 to re-take the lead.
1-1: Cullen spoons his effort at 60 but comes back to the board after Nijman leaves 2. But wait! Cullen misses three darts on D10! Nijman misses three darts at D1! Unbelievable! Cullen hits D10 with his sixth dart to level the legs.
0-1: Nijman takes the opening leg of the third set. After missing D13 clears the remaining 24 with a D6 after missing D12.
14:45 GMT - Cullen takes a 2-0 lead over Nijman
3-2: It’s not low-scoring anymore! Three 180s in a row but Cullen agonisingly misses D13 for the set. Nijman misses T20 allowing Cullen in. The Englishman finally hits the D13 with his third dart.
2-2: It’s low scoring but Cullen and Nijman are solid when they get to a finish. Nijman levels the leg with a 72 checkout on D18.
2-1: Cullen re-takes the lead with double tops clearing a 65 checkout.
1-1: Nijman on throw hits a D18 to complete a superb 87 checkout with 14 darts to level the legs.
1-0: Cullen reduces 146 to 66 and seals the leg with a D16, hitting an average of 98.36 to compared to Nijman’s 91.06.

0-3: Now it’s van Duijvenbode’s turn to look rattled as Razma has the chance to win the set on throw. He has 60 remaining and seals the set with double tops with his second attempt.

2-3: Van Duijvenbode misses D18 and Razma really needs to clinch this 64 checkout with the Dutchman two further back, and he hits the D4 to win the set! What a stunning comeback this is! The Latvian has won three legs in a row to level the game and punches the air in delight.

3-0: Razma really needs to do something to stop this match from slipping away, but Van Duijvenbode is in imperious form. He clears the D18 to complete a sensational 147 checkout for a 12-dart finish.

2-0: This really is punishing from Searle. It’s now or never, surely, for Campbell. Searle is on 65 but misses the D4 allowing the Canadian a chance on 56, but he fails to hit the D10 and Searle nails the D4 to win leg two.
1-0: Searle is averaging 103.38 compared to Campbell’s 92.43 and the Canadian twice fails to clear D10. These are costly misses. Searle punishes with a D5 to win the opening leg of the set.
13:05 GMT - Searle takes a 2-0 lead over Campbell
3-0: That was quick! Searle holds throw and clears a 96 checkout with a T20 and D18 to win the third leg and second set. We've played just nine minutes and Campbell, who won the North American championship, is in danger of crashing out.
2-0: Searle hits the bull to complete a thrilling 164 checkout to win the second leg. This is breathless stuff from the world number 20. Campbell is all at sea here.
1-0: Searle throws first and has six darts at 120, but Campbell only hits 39 on 99 as Searle wraps up the leg with D18 to clear 66.
12:59 GMT - Searle wins the opening set against Campbell
3-1: Searle hits the outer bull leaving Campbell to take the leg, but he misses the D5! Back comes Searle who takes the first set by clearing up the 25. He hit four tons, three 140s and three 180s in a solid opening to the game.
2-1: Searle completes a fantastic 107 checkout to take a 2-1 lead. The averages are high – Searle on 112.96 and Campbell on 101.62.
1-1: Campbell misses a 161 checkout allowing Searle to clear 28, but he misses the D8! Campbell nails D18 to draw level.
1-0: Campbell gets his sixth world championship campaign underway with the first 180 of the day. Searle follows to leave a 20 and nails the first leg with a D10.

11:35 GMT - We start the afternoon session with Ryan Searle against Matt Campbell.
As world number 20, Searle makes his 2025 championship bow while Campbell had to battle past Mensur Suljovic in five sets on Thursday to reach this stage.
The game is scheduled to get underway in just over an hour, with the winner due to take on Ryan Joyce in the third round.
