22:28 BST - What an incredible night of drama at the O2. And there will be more to come from this pair with both players competing for England in the forthcoming World Cup of Darts, which takes place in Frankfurt, Germany, from June 12th - 14th.
"I am really looking forward to it," Humphries said. "We are good friends and good players and if we connect we stand a good chance of winning."
"If we play our best, I don't think anyone will touch us."
Littler adds: "He can lead me to victory!"
22:16 BST - Luke Littler has taken a seat on the floor, but is soon beckoned back on to the stage to receive his plaudits.
"No one likes losing but I am fine," the world number two told Sky Sports. "I am glad to say it's over as it has been a tough 17 weeks. I will be back next year.
"I have set many records and I don't think they will be broken. I am going to try and break my own records next season.
"I will have a little break now," he added.
22:11 BST - Luke Humphries is now speaking to Sky Sports about his relief at winning the triple crown.
The 30-year-old can now add the Premier League trophy to his World Championship and World Match Play titles, and becomes only the fourth player to achieve the feat after Phil Taylor, Michael van Gerwen and Gary Anderson.
"This one means the world to me, that was the one I was missing," he said. "It was the one I wanted, I have done it now. If I don't win another title, I am happy as I have done the three hardest ones to do.
"Phil Taylor has given me a lot of support over the last couple of weeks so, Phil, if you are watching, thank you. He gave me a lot of advice and that extra support."
On his rivalry with Luke Littler, he added: "I love Luke to bits. He is one of my best mates on tour and he is so good.
"He wasn't at his best tonight, neither was I. I thought the game was going to go away from me at 3-0 down.
"He is a great player, a great lad, and I will get in early before he trounces everyone."
22:05 BST - Humphries is awarded the winner's trophy as confetti flutters around him. He collects £275,000 in prize money and the world number one holds his arms aloft. Wonderful scenes.
21:59 BST - Home stretch now! Littler has the darts and needs some breaks. Humphries sees a dart bounce out.
Littler takes out double 10 to bring it back to 8-9.
Humphries hits 180 to leave 124. He sets up 32 with no great pressure from his opponent. Humphries misses, but comes back with a double 2 to move within one leg of the title. Sudden death for Littler.
He starts with a 180, the 15th of the match. He leaves 76 for the match but misses tops. Littler can't take out 88. Humphries returns to take out double 10.

21:54 BST - The pace has certainly picked up - as has the quality.
Another max for Littler. Another max for Humphries. Here we go. Humphries cleans up 58 with ease to make it 8-6. The averages are back up to the 100-mark now.
Littler needs this leg desperately. He leaves tops, which has caused him some problems. He hits it with his second dart to close the gap to one leg.
Humpgries is finding the maximums with ease now. He leaves 170 and gets six darts at it, but he misses three attempts at 32. Littler can't apply any pressure, and Humphries checks out to make it 9-7.
21:49 BST - Back out from the break, and we have an exchange of 180s - a first of the match for Humphries.
He eventually takes out tops to take the lead for the first time in the match.
Another 180 follows in the 12th, with the darts. A 36 checkout follows with Littler nowhere near to make it 7-5 to the world number one. Quite a shift in momentum all of a sudden.
Littler pins another maximum, his sixth, racing to a 41 finish for a 12-dart leg: 6-7.
21:43 BST - Both players are struggling with their checkouts so far in the final, with Littler landing 5/19 and Humphries 5/20.
21:41 BST - Littler with the darts, he leaves 52. Humphries barely, barely misses the 170. Littler misses two goes at tops, allowing Humphries back in. It's 5-4.
Another maximum for Littler, that's four now. He needs 87 but misses. Humphries takes out 36 with his third dart to make it 5-5 going into the break.
Looks like both players are a bit annoyed about some drafts up at the oche - the O2 is a pretty big bingo hall though, to be fair.
21:37 BST - Humphries levels the score with a fantastic 130 checkout, which catches the crowd somewhat by surprise. Littler races to a 40 finish and finally takes out tops at the second attempt: 4-3
Slightly lower averages than you'd expect from both at this stage, with both hovering around the 91-mark.
Littler hits his third 180 - Humphries has yet to nail one. No dramas with the tops this time around, and the Nuke makes it 5-3 with an 11-dart leg.
21:33 BST - Humphries misses the bull for the break, Littler takes out double 16 to make it 3-0. Humphries looks like he's rushing his darts right now, while Littler is calm as you like.
Another maximum for Littler, the second of the match. Humphries takes out 66 to finally get on the board: 3-1.
Humphries misses two at double 11, leaving the door open for Littler, but he can't take out 20. Both then find themselves in single digits, with Humphries finally finding double 2 to break and claw it back to one leg: 3-2.
21:28 BST - Littler, who won the bull backstage, comes straight out with a 180 to rapturous applause. No nine-darter this time, though. He leaves 12 on the board, which is duly taken out for a 1-0 lead and early hold of throw.
Humphries leaves the tops in the second leg, and Littler can't take out the big fish. Humphries misses three leg darts, but Littler can't capitalise.
Humphries misses another three. Littler pins double 10 for a break to make it 2-0.
21:22 BST - Here we go then, it's another chapter in the Luke versus Luke saga!

21:01 BST - This is Premier League darts at its finest. Apinall needs 129 but a single 19 leaves T20 and bull, but he hits the outer bull! Humphries takes D16 at the first time of asking for the leg. 8-7.
Aspinall has to break in this leg surely. He has 140 on the board with Humphries on 25. He takes 60 to leave 80 allowing Humphries on D8 for the leg but he misses! Asp returns and throws a dart that pings off the board. Agonising. Humphries returns, takes D4 and the leg. 9-7.
It's looking pretty bleak for Aspinall as they reduce their scores. Humphries takes D18 at the first attempt to take the leg and the match. 10-7.
Humphries will face Littler in a rematch of the 2024 final!
20:52 BST - Humphries leaves 81 but misses two attempts on the D12. Aspinall reduces 197 to 140 but Humphries holds with D6. 6-5.
This is a huge leg. Humphries takes a fifth and the sixth maximum against throw to reduce his score to 80, with The Asp on 142. Aspinall has to take it here surely, but he can only set up 58. The world number one misses double tops allowing Asp to take 18 and tops to level! 6-6
Humphries and Aspinall exchange 180s and Humphries takes double top to lead 7-6 on throw.
At what point will Humphries steer clear of The Asp? He's averaging 105.05 but Aspinall is going nowhere with both on 170. The Asp leaves 124 with Humphries on 40, and what a clearence from Aspinall! He takes T20, 14 AND the bull to level the legs!! 7-7
20:47 BST - Littler came bolting out the doors after his break, what will Humphries or Aspinall do in their semi-final? We're back underway.
20:40 BST - Humphries looks to break Aspinall now. Humphries is 50 per cent on his checkouts, while Aspinall is nailing two thirds of his. Cool Hand Luke pins another 180 - his fourth of the match - but it leaves him on an unfinishable 162.
Aspinall gets a look at 64, which he takes out with double 16. They head down the tunnel at 5-5.
20:38 BST - Humphries just misses bull for a 164 checkout. Aspinall needs 77, but he misses tops.
Humphries takes out double 8 at the second attempt to make it 3-3.
The world number one comes out with another 180. He eventually leaves 36, which goes out straight away to hold. We're on throw again, it's 4-3 to Humphries.
Both players are averaging around 105, with The Asp just edging it. He leaves double 16 which goes out to make it 4-4. No let up from either player right now!
Aspinall races to 82 to retake the lead, but he misses tops. Humhpries sneaks in to steal it: 5-4.
20:30 BST - Humphries hits six perfect darts before an absolutely woeful seventh. He leaves a ton though, with Aspinall miles away, although he applies some pressure with the third 180 of the match. Humphries misses double 19. Aspinall needs 107 to level, which he takes out. It's 2-2 and a much needed break of throw.
The Asp is finding his feet now and lands a maxi in the fifth leg. He leaves 12 which he takes out in one: 3-2. The Asp leads!
20:26 BST - Humphries gets off to a quick start to take out 84 for a 1-0 lead.
Cool Hand Luke breaks in the second to race to a 2-0 lead. Aspinall's not had a chance to get going just yet.
Humphries back with the darts in the third but he fluffs his lines, allowing The Asp to break with an 86 checkout: 2-1.
20:16 BST - A quick indie disco of The Killers and Kaiser Chiefs and we're up and running in the second semi-final. Humphries throws first.
20:00 BST - Up next we have world number one Luke Humphries against Nathan Aspinall.

19:59 BST - Littler won six of the seven legs at the oche after the break. He threw six 180s to Price's four, averaging 104 compared to Price's 95.
19:58 BST - Littler levels the 180 scoring to leave 86. He pins double 16 to break Price and win his third leg on the spin. It's 9-7 and he's purring at just the right time.
Price needs two breaks now to win this semi-final. The defending champion pins another 180, and another. They're flowing now. He leaves 41 and takes out double 16 to win 10-7. Littler survives the scare to reach the final!
19:55 BST - Price comes back with an opening 180. He later suffers a bounce out. Price pins double 7 to take out 86 for yet another break of throw: 7-6 to Price.
The Iceman with the darts now. Littler narrowly misses a ton-plus checkout, but leaves 32 which goes out in two darts. It's 7-7, both players can't stop breaking one another!
Littler sticks the seventh 180 of the match in the 15th leg. He leaves 12 with Price not on a finish, which goes out at the first attempt. Littler leads 8-7, the first time he's led this match.
19:50 BST - The 11th set, Littler comes out with an early maximum. He leaves 40 for a possible 10-darter, he eventually takes it in 11. It's 6-5 to Price who has the darts now.
Littler's not looking at his best but he's still averaging slightly higher than Price. Both players are missing crucial darts in this 12th leg. Littler needs double 10, then double 5 - which goes. It's 6-6 and a big break from Littler.
19:42 BST - Price is turning it on, two bulls and double 16 help him take out 132 to make it 5-3. A bit of bother appears on Littler's face.
The Iceman lands another 180 to begin the next leg. Both players averaging around 101 at this point. Littler misses the 139 narrowly, Littler misses another three at double 20. He's only 3/13 on doubles.
Price misses himself, Littler narrowly escapes with double 10 to hold. It's 5-4. Nervy stuff here.
Huge leg next and Price has the darts. He leaves 20 with Littler way back on 183. Three attempts, two missed but double 5 goes out. Littler makes a quick exit for the break, whilst Price roars to the crowd. It's 6-4 to the Welshman.
19:37 BST - Littler takes out a massive 128 finish to make it 3-3.
It's not the 180-fest you might expect from these two, but Littler finally pins his first, his 170th career maxi. Price has no finish, Littler leaves tops but he misses three attempts at the checkout. Price capitalists to make it 4-3. Fifth break of the match!
19:33 BST - Littler leaves a champagne 132. Price hits the first 180 of the night under pressure.
Littler leaves 56 but Price nails tops to take out 61 and level things at 2-2.
The Nuke has the darts on the fifth leg. His second visit includes a bounce out that was a dead cert for a 60. Price bangs in his second 180 to leave 28, but he misses the chance. Littler can't reply with a missed opportunity at darts, allowing Price to make it back-to-back breaks: 3-2.
19:29 BST - Price drops a dart to sarcastic cheers and follows up with some dodgy 1s. Littler leaves tops but settles for double 10 to break back: 1-1.
The Nuke then steadily holds for 2-1.
19:26 BST - Littler is clearly the crowd favourite here, and The O2 is absolutely rocking.
The Nuke throws first. He leaves 68 with Price unable to take the big fish. He misses tops, allowing Price to break for 1-0.
19:18 BST - It's walkout time!
The O2 crowd were booing Price during the last VT, so don't be surprised if he gets the old 'ear defender treatment'.
19:08 BST - First up at the oche, it's world number two Luke Littler versus world number 11 Gerwyn Price.
The Iceman used to very much have The Nuke's number, although he's lost his last two matches against the 18-year-old.

18:24 BST - The 2025 BetMGM Premier League Darts season reaches its conclusion on Thursday, May 29th at London's O2 Arena, where four of the sport's top names will battle it out for the £275,000 top prize in front of a sold-out crowd of 14,000 fans.
After 16 weeks of high-level action across Europe, the play-off line-up reflects both the current hierarchy in darts and the strength in depth at the top of the game.

18:14 BST - We'll be opening up with defending champion Luke Littler against Gerwyn Price, which is slated for a 19:15 BST start.
The winner of that will face the winner of Luke Humphries and Nathan Aspinall.
18:12 BST - Things are slightly different to the usual Premier League nights with just four competitors in action tonight.
Rather than a first to six, all matches will be a best of 19 legs.
