You can read everything you need to know about the event below so you are clued up before the World Cup starts.

The Unique World Cup Format
Unlike the usual form of darts, the World Cup is a doubles game where each player of a team alternates throwing three darts in the legs.
The rounds are played as one-off doubles matches, with the group stages played in a best-of-seven legs format.
From the second round to the semi-finals, matches are best-of-15 legs. The final is best-of-19.
Forty nations take part overall, with the top four seeds, England, Netherlands, Northern Ireland and Scotland, all receiving byes to the knockout rounds.
The top 12 teams from the three-team group stage join the four top-ranked teams to start the round of 16.
Top Contenders & Lineups
The top two seeds from each country automatically comprise the squad for that country. England are the top seeds, as they have the PDC World No. 1, Luke Littler, and No. 1, Luke Humphries.
Daryl Gurney and Josh Rock are the reigning champions representing Northern Ireland.
The Netherlands are represented by the legend that is Michael van Gerwen, and the PDC World Championship finalist, Gian van Veen.
Gary Anderson and Cameron Menzies make up the last of the four seeds in Scotland.
Other notable pairings are Martin Schindler and Ricardo Pietreczko for Germany, Mike De Decker and Dimitri Van den Bergh for Belgium, and Jonny Clayton and Nick Kenny for Wales.
Gerwyn Price should be partnering Clayton for Wales, but he did not make himself available for selection this year. The Iceman originally cited his health as the reason, but later published a message on his Instagram saying his reasons were not health-related.
Whatever his reasoning, the former World Cup winner and world champion will be missed.
