In the battle between the world's 24th and 25th-ranked players, it was Ding who came out victorious with a 7-4 victory in Pathum Thani.
Ding stated he was excited by the prospect of an all-Asia battle in the final: "It is all Asia, between China and Thailand. It is going to be very fun. It is a home game for him.
"I know he has won the event before so it is very exciting for tomorrow."
Hometown favourite Un-Nooh is the only Thai player to ever win the tournament, having won it back in 2015.
The world-ranked number 45 defeated world number 22 Hossein Vafaei 7-6 in the day's early session.
Speaking after his semi-final victory, Uh-Nooh described his relief amidst the pressure of playing in front of his home crowd.
"I am so relieved. When I was 6-4 down I was not feeling good. I just looked at my family to give me some power, some energy. He missed in the last frame and I got the first chance. It is a good game to win.
"I'm very glad to play among them (Thai fans), including my family. This is a very rare chance to get into the final of a big event in Thailand.
"I will do my best in the final now."
A top prize of over £100,000 will be up for grabs for the winner.
