One of the main narratives ahead of the first Eubank Jr and Benn fight was the disapproval of Eubank's pre-fight actions by his father.
The Englishman slapped his opponent with an egg in reference to Benn's suspension for a failed drugs test in 2022, which was ultimately lifted after he was cleared of any wrongdoing two years later.
"Who taught you that?" Eubank Sr said after the incident.
"That's disgraceful. I'm gonna stand in your corner? You must be mad.
"I would never be in your corner. You're a disgrace."
Eubank Sr shocked the world when he arrived to accompany his son to the ring against Benn back in April 2025, despite his reaction to the egg incident.
His son went on to win the fight by unanimous decision in one of the highlights of the boxing year.
With the rematch approaching on Saturday, 15 November, Eubank Jr admitted he was glad to have his father in his corner once again.
"Me not having to deal with the burden of my father being so publicly against me fighting, that was a massive mental distraction for me," he told Sky Sports.
"So for me to not have that on my plate is amazing.
"And to know that he's going to be there is a great feeling."
