Former Tottenham and Man Utd midfielder Christian Eriksen will sign for VfL Wolfsburg, according to reports. The Danish international playmaker is currently in Germany and is set to be announced shortly.

The Danish superstar has been convinced by Danish sports director Peter Christiansen to sign for VfL Wolfsburg, who already have Andreas Skov Olsen, Jonas Wind, Adam Daghim, Jesper Lindstrom, and Joachim Maehle in the squad.

Danish publication Tipsbladet reveals that the Bundesliga club has agreed a contract with the greatest Danish footballer of recent times, and it is only formalities that need to be sorted out before the deal can be confirmed.

Eriksen only started 11 Premier League games In his final season at Old Trafford, but scored five goals and provided six assists in 35 games.

Eriksen, who also played at Ajax, Inter and Brentford, provided 81 assists and scored 55 goals in the English Premier League and found the net on 46 occasions in 144 games for Denmark’s national side.

He was not part of the Danish squad in the World Cup qualification matches against Scotland and Greece.
