Spanish giants Barcelona and Atletico Madrid face off in the quarter-finals of the UCL, their fifth meeting since December and the second time they have met in less than a week.
The two teams played each other at the Wanda Metropolitano on April 4th, where Barcelona won 2-1 thanks to goals from Marcus Rashford and Robert Lewandowski. Four days later, they meet at the Camp Nou for the first leg of this tie, before heading back to the Metropolitano on April 14th for the second.
Hansi Flick and Diego Simeone will be sick of the sight of each other by the end, however, only one team will have the bragging rights of being UCL semi-finalists and be the happier manager at the end of this season’s rivalry.

Barcelona team news
Barça will be without Raphinha for this tie after the Brazilian was ruled out for five weeks with a hamstring injury picked up on international duty. The game against Atleti on the weekend also saw Barça lose two more players to injury, in Ronald Araujo and Marc Bernal. Bernal, in fact, replaced Araujo in that match, only to subsequently have to be replaced himself.
There could be a return on the horizon, though, for Dutch midfielder Frenkie de Jong, who has missed the last eight games with a hamstring injury. He could make the squad for this game and even make an appearance on the pitch.

Atletico Madrid team news
Atletico are set to still be without their important goalkeeper Jan Oblak. The Slovakian stopper has missed the last four games with injury and is set to be a big miss here again. He is joined on the injury list by Pablo Barrios, Rodrigo Mendoza and Marc Pubill.
Nico Gonzalez was sent off in the league match on the weekend, but will be able to feature here as suspensions do not carry over from league to continental competitions.

Head-to-head record
Barça and Atletico will meet for a fifth time in European competition, with all five coming at the quarter-final stage of the UEFA Champions League. This is the fifth time the two teams have played since December, with Barça winning four of those and Atleti only one.
The only win Atletico have is a 4-0 drubbing at the Metropolitano in the Copa del Rey that saw them progress over the two ties, despite losing the second leg 3-0 at the Camp Nou. The Camp Nou has become a fortress for Barça against Atletico, having not lost against them in their last 25 games at the Camp Nou across all competitions (W17, D8).
Add in the fact that Atletico have never won a UCL away match against a fellow Spanish opponent, losing four of the five they have played (D1), and this match looks to be going only one way.
Odds for Barcelona v Atletico Madrid
Barcelona are 8/15 to win this game at bet365. A draw between the two is at 15/4, with a win for Atletico at 9/2.
