Current English Premier League leaders and title favourites Arsenal also set the pace in this competition. Further down the list, we find Liverpool and Tottenham challenging for a top-eight finish.

Bodo Glimt v Man City, Tuesday, 17:45 GMT

We open the show with an early evening kick off in Norway, where Bodo Glimt take on English Premier League giants and former Champions League winners Manchester City. The locals qualified as runners-up in the Eliteserien but have struggled to compete at this level. Gleam have failed to win a UCL game, drawing three and losing the other three.

Man City started as one of the betting favourites to win this season's Champions League, regaining the famous silverware. Experienced boss Pep Guardiola led his team to fourth in the pile, behind Arsenal, Bayern Munich, and PSG. The visitors have four wins, one draw, and a defeat, scoring a dozen goals and conceding six. Will City add another three points?

It pays to keep things simple for our opening pick and follow the big-match stats. Here, we have a team without a win to show for their efforts, and they're about to line up against an opponent on a strong run. Man City beat Real Madrid 2-1 in their previous away game last month, making them a strong pick to chalk up another victory on Tuesday in Norway.

Tip: Man City win @ 2/5 (bet365)

Bet explanation: If Man City do as expected and win on Tuesday, you'll earn a profit.

Inter Milan v Arsenal, Tuesday, 20:00 GMT

Inter Milan v Arsenal

One of the biggest and most exciting midweek fixtures sees the Serie A take on the Premier League when Inter Milan hosts Arsenal. Milan impressed in this competition last year and plot to go one better this term. The locals start the round in sixth place, having won four and lost two. Milan have already scored a dozen goals in six UCL starts, while conceding four.

Arsenal touch down in Milan as the current Champions League pacesetters. Mikel Arteta's side haven't put a foot wrong so far, winning each of their previous six games. The Londoners have scored 17 goals and allowed just one. That's seriously impressive. Arsenal boast the best defence in the competition, and a strong backline is required again here.

The head-to-head stats on the Flashscore app show that Inter Milan and Arsenal have met three times previously, with the Italians winning two and the English side winning one. The most recent was played in November 2024, when Inter Milan used home advantage to grind out a battling 1-0. I expect another low-scoring 90 minutes, picking under 2.5 goals.

Tip: Under 2.5 goals @  10/11 (bet365)

Bet explanation: You need Tuesday's match to produce fewer than three goals from both teams combined.

Real Madrid v Monaco, Tuesday, 20:00 GMT

Real Madrid v Monaco

Our final prediction of three from Tuesday's Champions League fixtures comes with a Spanish backdrop as Real Madrid host Monaco. Blancos are seventh in the ladder, which is currently good enough for an automatic spot in the finals, avoiding the playoffs. There's still much work to do, with Madrid appreciating the importance of making home advantage count.

Monaco face the unenviable task of visiting the competition's most successful side. The away team has a record of two wins, three draws, and one defeat, scoring seven goals but conceding eight. On closer inspection, we see Monaco have conceded as many goals as Benfica down in 25th, and that'll encourage the attacking players in the home dressing room.

Real Madrid may have suffered defeat in their last UCL outing. They've also lost two of their previous three, but I'm siding with a home win. Pressure is building on the locals, but they have a great opportunity to bounce back and take a huge step towards playing knockout football. The points won't come easily here, but Madrid's attack will make the difference.

Tip: Real Madrid win @ 27/100 (bet365)

Bet explanation: Real Madrid must secure three points at home to land your bet.

Galatasaray v Atletico Madrid, Wednesday, 17:45 GMT

Galatasaray v Atletico Madrid

Moving to the first of three picks on Wednesday, and we start in Turkey where Galatasaray play Spanish La Liga side Atletico Madrid. The hosts are unlikely to go all the way and win this trophy, according to the betting odds, but the Super Lig champions will fancy their chances of winning at home. They're 18th in the pile with three wins and three defeats.

Atletico Madrid arrive in the Turkish capital gripping tightly to a place in the top eight. Holding their position would mean Madrid avoided the lottery of playoff football, but they are not without competition. Atletico have a dozen points on the board, putting them level with Liverpool in ninth. Bayer Leverkusen in 20th are three points behind in a grandstand finish.

I could use the stats to build a strong case for either side winning the points here, but I'm avoiding the match-winner market and gambling on goals. In their previous six starts, Galatasaray have scored eight and conceded eight, while Madrid have bagged 15 and leaked 12. Click yes in the both teams to score market and then enjoy every attack, shot, and goal.

Tip: Both teams to score @ 1/2 (bet365)

Bet explanation: If Galatasaray and Atletico Madrid score at least one goal each, you'll be counting your winnings.

Bayern Munich v Union Saint-Gilloise, Wednesday, 20:00 GMT

Bayern Munich v Union Saint-Gilloise

We're heading to Germany for our next bet as Bayern Munich welcome Union Saint-Gilloise. The Bundesliga champions started the week second in the Champions League after winning five and losing one. The only blot on FCB's copybook was inflicted by table-topping Arsenal last time out, meaning the pressure is on Munich to bounce back at the first opportunity.

The Belgian side Union Saint-Gilloise arrive in Germany as the underdogs with betting traders, respected football pundits, and even some of their fans. That'll come as no surprise to followers of this tournament after watching the visitors win two and lose four of their first six, scoring seven, but conceding 15 goals. A win would push them into the playoff places.

Both teams have plenty to play for on Wednesday evening in Germany. Bayern Munich remain in the hunt for pole position, and know another win would help clear their passage to the next stage. The guests know three points is unlikely, but a shock win would keep them in the hunt for the playoffs. Back Bayern Munich to win in your midweek UCL accumulators.

Tip: Bayern Munich -1 handicap @ 4/11 (bet365)

Bet explanation: Bayern Munich start with a handicap, meaning you need them to win by at least two clear goals.

Chelsea v Pafos, Wednesday, 20:00 GMT

Chelsea v Pafos
Chelsea v PafosFlashscore / Profimedia

We wrap things up in London, where Chelsea are strong betting favourites to beat Pafos at Stamford Bridge. The Blues haven't given their loyal fans much to cheer about in the Premier League this season, and are currently well off the pace set by Arsenal in the EPL and in this competition. The Blues lost last time, but have won three and drawn one of five.

Pafos started the week 26th in the Champions League after six matches. The visitors have one win, three draws, and two defeats, which is better than many pundits expected at this stage. Four goals scored in six starts doesn't fill backers with confidence, and the nine goals conceded suggest they'll endure a tough evening in the UK capital against a star opponent.

Once again, I feel it pays to stick to the basics. Chelsea are at home, they play in a better league than their opponents, are former Champions League winners, and boast strong form this season. The Blues boast much better players than their opponents, certainly on paper, and that will translate into a solid home win. Add a Chelsea win to your midweek multiples.

Tip: Chelsea -1 handicap @ 4/9 (bet365)

Bet explanation: Chelsea must defeat Pafos by two or more goals on Wednesday.
