We're down to just eight teams in this season's UEFA Champions League. That number will reduce to four clubs following the completion of this week's quarter-final second legs. With all four ties hanging in the balance, a fascinating two days lie ahead for football lovers, armchair fans, and gamblers. Which names will take a step closer to reaching the final?

Arsenal ground out a 1-0 win over Sporting in Lisbon last Tuesday. Mikel Arteta's side now aim to finish the job in the second leg at the Emirates Stadium. Bayern Munich beat Real Madrid 2-1 in Spain, and now hold the home advantage. Los Blancos arrive at the Allianz Arena needing to win, and that's not an ideal situation. Will Real rise to the occasion?

The leading online bookmakers featured on this page and across the Flashscore app offer a long list of markets and specials, allowing members to make predictions pre-match or live. The best bookies even give new players a welcome bonus free bet.

Atletico Madrid v Barcelona, Tuesday, 20:00 BST

Atletico Madrid vs Barcelona
Atletico Madrid vs BarcelonaFlashscore

Atletico Madrid hold the home advantage in an all-LaLiga shootout. Spanish football is guaranteed at least one team in the semi-finals, but will that be Atletico or Barcelona? The locals protect a two-goal advantage after winning 2-0 at the Camp Nou less than a week ago. It was a shock result, but can Atletico finish the job and progress to the final four?

Tuesday's match will be the sixth time these rivals have met this season, meaning there's plenty for stats lovers to work off. In those five games, Atletico have been the home team twice. They eased to a stunning 4-0 victory earlier this year in the Copa del Rey. Barca got their revenge when winning 2-1 at this stadium in LaLiga earlier this month.

Barcelona find themselves two goals behind heading into this all-or-nothing tie. The aggregate score means the visitors must go on the attack. An early goal would change things. With that in mind, I'm playing the totals market, taking over 2.5 goals. That wager landed in each of the previous two meetings in Madrid, and in five of the six matches played this season.

The first goal will be crucial on Tuesday. If Atletico open the scoring to delight fans, they'll be in cruise control. If Barca score to make it 1-0, nerves will begin to creep into the home support. With both managers appreciating what an early goal would do for their chances, I expect a strong start. Six meetings this season means there will be no settling-in period.

Tip: Over 2.5 goals @ 2/5 (bet365)

Bet explanation: You land a profit if Atletico Madrid and Barcelona score a combined three or more goals on Tuesday.

Liverpool v PSG, Tuesday, 20:00 BST

Liverpool vs PSG
Liverpool vs PSGFlashscore

Moving to England, and we have another classic. Two huge names from European football do battle as PSG travel from Paris to Anfield. The visitors arrive as the defending champions, having made light work of Inter Milan in last year's Champions League final. Luis Enrique's team is also ahead on aggregate, following a 2-0 win over the Reds in France.

Liverpool knew their best chance of eliminating the defending champions and progressing to the semi-finals came from avoiding a heavy defeat in the first leg. Arne Slot and his Liverpool squad appreciate the fear factor of coming to Merseyside. They didn't do as well as planned, but 2-0 down on aggregate means the tie is there to be won. Liverpool hope to score first.

European nights at a sold-out Anfield are something special. Liverpool face an uphill struggle to overcome the two-goal deficit and beat a PSG side that dominated last time out. The stats from the first leg show the Ligue 1 champions finished with 74% of the ball possession, taking 18 shots on goal compared to three from their opponents. The shots on target finished 6-0.

PSG arrive in fantastic form and have the quality to progress. Will they set out to score more goals and build on the 2-0 aggregate lead, or will PSG defend what they have? We'll find out on Tuesday under the bright lights, but I see enough from the champions to suggest they have the measure of the Reds. You can add PSG to your midweek accumulators.

Tip: PSG win @ 31/20 (bet365)

Bet explanation: If PSG beat Liverpool for the second time in less than a week, you'll beat the bookies and boost your balance.

Arsenal v Sporting, Wednesday, 20:00 BST

Arsenal vs Sporting

We have another two important games on Wednesday, including one in London featuring the competition betting favourites. Arsenal welcome Sporting to the UK capital with Mikel Arteta's team eager to build on their stunning Champions League form. The Gunners were pushed hard in Lisbon last Tuesday evening, but scraped through with a 1-0 lead. There's still all to play for.

Sporting is experienced enough in this competition to appreciate that needing to win on the road is never ideal. Requiring victory at a fortress like the Emirates Stadium means the Lions are facing elimination from the Champions League. Traders working at major UK bookmakers price the away win at a stunning 6/1. Will Sporting defy the odds to win? I don't think so.

Last week's match went down to the wire. Sporting and Arsenal were locked at 0-0 after 90 minutes, but you should never write Arsenal off. They staged a late smash-and-grab, with Havertz scoring less than a minute into added-on time. It was a body blow for a Sporting side that believed they deserved to avoid defeat. I'm advising a bet on Arsenal finishing the job.

Reflecting on how Arsenal have performed in this competition at Wednesday's venue, we see they beat Bayer Leverkusen 2-0, Kairat 3-2, Bayern Munich 3-1, Atletico Madrid 4-0, and Olympiakos 2-0. I suggest backing Arsenal -1 on the handicap at a fair price. When following, you need the home team to beat their opponents by at least two clear goals.

Tip: Arsenal -1 handicap @ 11/10 (bet365)

Bet explanation: Arsenal must beat Sporting by at least two goals. Another 1-0 win for Arteta wouldn't be enough to cover the handicap.

Bayern Munich v Real Madrid, Wednesday, 20:00 BST

Bayern Munich vs Real Madrid
Bayern Munich vs Real MadridFlashscore

We wrap things up in Germany with a blockbuster. Bayern Munich are at home, and they'll need all the help they can get from the crowd at the Allianz Arena. Munich finished as runners-up in the Champions League opening phase, losing only to Arsenal. In the knockout rounds, they've already beaten Atalanta 10-2 in the Last 16 and Madrid 2-1 in Spain.

Real Madrid rank as the Champions League's most successful team, winning no fewer than 15 times between 1956 and 2024. Los Blancos have enjoyed their fair share of upsets and comeback wins in that time, meaning it's dangerous to write them off. Madrid are always a threat, and will be again in Munich. Can Alvaro Arbeloa's team win to stay in the UCL?

Bayern Munich won 2-1 in Madrid last Tuesday, and that's no mean feat. The Germans put their Spanish rivals to the sword with two quickfire goals. Diaz broke the deadlock on 41 minutes, before Kane doubled their lead less than a minute into the second half. Mbappe scored to halve the deficit and give his cash-rich team a fighting chance. Expect more twists and turns.

Scoring at the Allianz Arena won't be easy. Beating Bayern Munich to turn the aggregate score on its head is a mammoth task. I'm backing both teams to score in a home win. Stats from the first leg show these hopefuls finished with 20 shots at goal each. Both put less than half on target. With the pressure on, the attackers know they must be ruthless in the box.

Tip: Bayern win and BTTS @ 6/4 (bet365)

Bet explanation: You need Bayern Munich to beat Real Madrid on the night, but Blancos must find the net at least once to land this wager.
