After their knock-out win over AC Milan, Eredivisie side Feyenoord will face either Arsenal or Inter in the UEFA Champions League round of 16.

A 1-1 draw at the San Siro was enough for Feyenoord to qualify for the next stages of the Champions League after their 1-0 home win a week prior. Feyenoord came back from 1-0 down thanks to a Julian Carranza header in the 73rd minute.

Their knock-out win means Feyenoord will face either Premier League runners-up Arsenal or Serie A champions Inter in the round of 16. It will be their first appearance in this stage of the tournament since 1993.

Whereas Feyenoord and Arsenal have never faced off in any competition, Feyenoord and Inter have faced off twice before. During the 2001/2002 UEFA Cup, the two met in the semi-finals of the tournament. Feyenoord would beat Inter 3-2 over two games and eventually win the UEFA Cup in their own De Kuip stadium after beating Borussia Dortmund 3-2 in the final.

The draw for the UEFA Champions League round of 16 will take place this Friday at 12:00 PM CET at the UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland.
