Sheffield United lost their thrid game in a row at the hands of bottom-of-the-table Plymouth, while both Burnley and Leeds picked up wins.
Elsewhere, four of the main play-off contenders dropped points and a similar situation unfolded down in the relegation zone - leaving the league wide open for the remaining three weeks.
As always, Flashscore take a look at all the major talking points in our weekly round-up:

Blades hit rough patch
Sheffield United have hit a rough patch of form at the worst possible time of the season after losing their third consecutive game following a 2-1 loss to Plymouth.
Chris Wilder's side took a first-half lead after some excellent work from Jesuran Rak-Sakyi but were pegged back by Ryan Hardie in the 81st minute before succumbing to an 88th-minute winner from Muhamed Tijani.
The Blades had been top of the league just a week ago, but now sit third and five points away from the automatic promotion spaces.
An unfortunate theme of their past few fixtures has been a lack of play identity and from the outside looking in, some key members of the squad seem to be losing their nerve.
Manager Chris Wilder got into a heated exchange with the Plymouth players at full-time on Saturday when he really needed to just get down the tunnel and avoid any further embarrassment.
With just four games remaining the Blades need to pick up some form again and have no real time to waste; after looking favourites for promotion just weeks ago they now seem destined for a play-off finish.
All is not lost for Sheffield United, though, who next face Cardiff - who have one win in their last nine - before visiting promotion rivals Burnley.
A win against the Clarets would throw them right back into the race for the top two, but equally, a defeat would likely spell the end of their automatic hopes.
The Blades aren't dead and buried yet but one way or another will know their fate following the upcoming Easter Weekend fixtures.

Argyle's much-needed win
While Saturday's result was catastrophic for Sheffield United, Plymouth Argyle picked up what could turn out to be their most important three points of the season.
The south coast club looked the likeliest candidates for relegation heading into the weekend, but have now pushed themselves within three points of safety.
Manager Miron Muslic has proved to be an inspired appointment since arriving in January and has four games remaining to pull off an almighty great escape.
Survival isn't directly in Plymouth's hands and with fixtures against Middlesbrough, Leeds and Coventry still to come it may yet still prove to be too much of an ask - but nothing is impossible in the Championship.

A factor that plays into Argyle's hands is that none of the teams above them are particularly great either and all could be caught before the campaign runs its course.
More dropped points from all relegation battlers are almost guaranteed, but the question is whether Plymouth can continue their push for survival, or have they left themselves just too short?
Coventry's missed opportunity
Coventry have been one of the Championship's in-form teams over the last four months and have pushed from just outside the relegation zone to serious play-off contenders under Frank Lampard.
The Sky Blues often enjoy a successful second half of the season but never quite to the extent seen this time around.
Currently sat sixth in the table, a play-off finish is firmly in their grasp if they can hold their nerve in the remaining four fixtures - although their 1-1 draw against Hull on Monday night was certainly a missed opportunity.

With Bristol City and Middlesbrough both dropping points around them, Lampard's side would have been far more comfortable in the league table following a win over relegation-threatened Hull.
It looked to be heading in that direction too after Matt Grimes' opener in the second half, before Abu Kamara netted a late leveller for the Tigers.
While one point is still better than none, the Sky Blues could have been up in fifth with a five-point safety blanket had they held on for victory.
As the games go by it seems more likely than not that Lampard's men will secure a top-six finish, although just three points separate them and three sides directly below - two of which they still have to face in their remaining games.
The play-off race is wide open heading into the final weeks of the season and there will undoubtedly be a couple more twists still to come.
Solomon nets Goal of the Week
Leeds defeated Preston 2-1 at the weekend to reaffirm their position in the race for automatic promotion, with Manor Solomon netting a superb goal.
The winger picked up the ball on the corner of the box before cutting inside and curling a fantastic effort over a sea of bodies and into the far corner.
Solomon's strike helped Leeds to a crucial victory - meaning the Yorkshire club need just eight more points to mathematically secure promotion.
Atkinson impresses for Portsmouth
Portsmouth played out a 2-2 draw with Derby on Saturday and at the centre of all the action was Rob Atkinson.
The defender netted twice to ensure his side came from behind and rescued a point against their relegation rivals - earning an 8.6 Flashscore rating in the process.
Atkinson even grabbed a hat-trick of sorts, turning into his own net midway through the game. Regardless, his rating was the highest of any player over the weekend, making him our Player of the Week.
