Another round of Championship fixtures have passed ahead of the second international break of the season, with the league table starting to take shape.

Coventry are the only side unbeaten in the second tier after thrashing lowly Sheffield Wednesday 5-0, while Middlesbrough suffered their first defeat of the season in a 1-0 loss to Portsmouth.

Elsewhere, Ipswich picked up their first win over local rivals Norwich in 16 years, beating the Canaries 3-1 at Portman Road.

As always, Flashscore is here to round up all the major talking points from the latest Championship action.

Coventry flying at the top

Coventry's latest win over Sheffield Wednesday saw them rise to the top of the Championship, with Frank Lampard's side consistently proving their promotion credentials.

The Sky Blues netted five goals on Saturday to take their overall league tally to 27 already this season - averaging three goals a game.

That's at least 12 more than the second-highest scorers in the division (Bristol City), who have 15 goals.

Lampard has moulded a side that can cause problems for every team in the Championship and is rapidly becoming one of the favourites to be promoted.

Coventry's attack is frighteningly good, not just in the starting players but also those who can come off the bench to impact games.

Haji Wright already has eight for the season and is the league's top goal scorer with Brandon Thomas-Asante and Victor Torp following closely behind on five goals each.

Both Wright and Thomas-Asante were on target in the thrashing of Sheffield Wednesday - alongside Ellis Simms and Tatsuhiro Sakamoto - highlighting that the goals are well-shared among the Sky Blues' forwards.

With the goals flowing, Lampard looks to have sussed Coventry's defensive structure as well.

His side have kept four consecutive clean sheets and are joint-second for the fewest conceded in the entire Championship.

That sort of combination will prove to be vital for their promotion hopes and, although the rate of scoring is unsustainable in the long term, it gives Coventry a huge platform to build on heading into the winter months.

Ipswich end barren derby run

Ipswich have had a mixed start to the season but seem to be picking up some momentum now, particularly following their win over Norwich in the East Anglian derby.

The Tractor Boys put in a dominant display against the Canaries with goals from Cedric Kipre, Jaden Philogene and Jack Clarke securing a first derby win for 16 years.

The match also saw Marcelino Nunez come up against his former club, with the now Ipswich midfielder instrumental in his side's third goal.

The Chilean completed a shock move in the summer, departing Norwich for their archrivals and he was certainly not shy in his celebrations following the match.

Youngster Oscar Schwartau netted for Norwich in what ended up being the only real highlight of a worrying afternoon for Liam Manning's side.

Pressure is now mounting on Manning after a poor start to the season, following just two league wins and no victories in their last five games.

Spoils shared in 'Hollywood derby'

Both Wrexham and Birmingham have enjoyed solid, if yet unspectacular, returns to the Championship so far after promotion last season.

The two clubs developed something of a rivalry down in League One due to both challenging in the top two and both having been recently taken over by huge American ownership groups.

Wrexham are famously fronted by Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, while NFL icon Tom Brady is the face of Birmingham's ownership group.

Those vague connections have caused any encounter between the two clubs to be dubbed - largely by the media, and only the media - the 'Hollywood derby'.

The latest edition of the fixture came on Friday night, in a 1-1 draw.

George Dobson gave the Welsh club an early lead before Patrick Roberts equalised barely 20 seconds into the second half.

The result represents a solid point for both clubs, who are still finding their feet in the second tier, even after some heavy spending on both sides during the transfer window.

That spending might have raised expectations slightly for some, but it's important to remember that both clubs have picked up some important points already and will be looking upwards heading into the winter, rather than warily over their shoulders.

Fatawu strikes for Leicester

Abdul Fatawu has been in fine form for Leicester this season and continued his hot streak with another goal in the Foxes' 3-1 win over Swansea.

The winger cut inside before firing a delightful effort into the top corner, giving Leicester a 2-1 lead before Jannik Vestergaard wrapped up all three points.

Foxes midfielder Jordan James netted an equally stunning strike to open the scoring, but Fatawu just edges it for our Goal of the Week - special mention to Jaden Philogene, too, who could probably win this every week if he wanted to.

Ngakia brace lifts Watford

Jeremy Ngakia netted a brace in Watford's 2-1 comeback win over Oxford, scoring twice in quick succession just before half-time.

The defender's performance earned a 9.0 Flashscore rating, making him our Player of the Week.
