Norwich have sacked manager Liam Manning following their 2-1 defeat to Leicester, while Middlesbrough look set to lose their boss, Rob Edwards, to Premier League side Wolves.
Elsewhere, Coventry boosted their promotion ambitions following a 1-0 win away to fellow top two challengers Stoke.
Here, Flashscore takes a look at all the major talking points from the latest Championship action:

Coventry march on
Coventry picked up a vital 1-0 win away to fellow promotion challengers Stoke at the weekend to open up a larger gap between themselves and the play-off places.
Ephron Mason-Clark netted a spectacular bicycle kick in the dying moments of the match to secure all three points and help cement the Sky Blues' spot at the top of the table.
Frank Lampard's side now have a seven-point cushion to separate themselves and third-place Stoke - having scored an immense 40 goals in 15 games so far.
They have also lost just once in the league all season and look like a good bet to secure a Premier League spot for the first time in what will be 25 years by next term.
For Stoke, it was a disappointing defeat and a particular shame to lose narrowly so late on, but the Potters are at the head of an incredibly tight chasing pack - just four points separate third and 10th.
Mark Robins' side have been the surprise package in the Championship this campaign and have the best defensive record in the league.
Given that, Coventry aside, the overall quality of the division is significantly worse than it has been in recent years, Stoke have as good a chance as anyone to mount a proper promotion challenge.

Times up for Manning at Norwich
Norwich suffered their 10th defeat of the season last weekend, falling to a 2-1 loss against Leicester at Carrow Road.
The result led to the sacking of manager Liam Manning, who had overseen an awful start to the campaign.
The Canaries sit 23rd in the table with just nine points and are essentially bottom of the competitive pack, given that Sheffield Wednesday sit below them on minus four following their points deduction.
Manning's side actually took the lead against Leicester through Mathias Kvistgaarden but were ultimately downed by goals from Bobby De Cordova-Reid and Jordan James.
Much of the surprise at Norwich's downward plight comes from the fact that their squad still boasts some quality players.
Josh Sargent has netted 44 league goals over the past three seasons and has even scored five this term, while Kenny McLean and Harry Darling have both excelled in the division before.
A major issue at Carrow Road, though, is how many of their summer signings have struggled to acclimatise to the Championship so far.
A reported £25 million was spent over the summer, and several of the new additions have failed to make an impact so far.
Kvistgaarden arrived for a reported £7m and has scored just three goals so far, while Jakov Medic (£1.75m), Jacob Wright (£2.3m) and Mirko Topic (£3m) have all either struggled while on the pitch or failed to nail down consistent minutes.
There is definitely an element of bad luck, too, with Kvistgaarden missing several games through injury, while Papa Amadou Diallo has been out since September after arriving for a reported £4.4m from Metz.
As we mentioned, the overall quality of the league is fairly poor this year, so there is time for Norwich to get things right and push back up the table - but things need to change quickly to avoid a potential drop into League One.

Middlesbrough overcome Edwards hurdle
Middlesbrough have enjoyed a strong start to the season and have been ever-present around the promotion places - but faced their first major hurdle last weekend.
Manager Rob Edwards had overseen a magnificent start to the campaign, which ultimately drew the attention of his former club Wolves.
After several reports that the Premier League side were interested in Edwards last week, the Welshman's pre-match press conference was cancelled, and assistant coach Adi Viveash was placed in charge of the side for their clash with Birmingham.
With news breaking ahead of the match that Middlesbrough had granted Edwards permission to speak to Wolves, Viveash took charge of the Teesiders' 2-1 win against Birmingham.
Such a chaotic couple of days could have left the players unfocused, but they stuck to the task and moved back into the top two with a valuable three points.
Barring any late drama, it appears Edwards will be appointed by Wolves, which would leave Middlesbrough seeking a new manager to guide their promotion push.
There's a long way to go in the current campaign - but the Teesiders are in a good position to push on with the right coach coming in.
Vintage Clarke propels Ipswich
Jack Clarke netted his sixth goal of the season in Ipswich's 4-1 win over Swansea, scoring in trademark fashion by driving forward, cutting inside and curling an inch-perfect effort into the corner.
The winger is amongst the best in the Championship once he gets going and finally seems to be finding his feet with the Tractor Boys - winning our Goal of the Week.
Of course, Mason-Clark's strike for Coventry was equally excellent - but we touched on that earlier.
Fry shines for Middlesbrough
Middlesbrough defender Dael Fry picked up an 8.8 Flashscore rating after scoring in his side's 2-1 win against Birmingham.
The Boro academy graduate's rating was the highest of any player across the weekend - making him our Player of the Week.
