Promotion favourites West Ham finally earned their first league win after beating fellow title hopefuls Wolves at the London Stadium.
Elsewhere, Swansea reached the top of the division after a commanding 2-0 victory over Watford, while Wrexham recorded their first win with a shock 3-0 triumph away to Millwall.

West Ham get first win on the board
Nuno Espirito Santo's West Ham side were in desperate need of a first win back in the second tier, and it came to them from an unlikely source.
The Hammers recorded a 4-2 victory over Wolves - who were yet to lose a Championship game this season - although the scoreline perhaps doesn't tell the full story of the match.
The opening exchanges were quite cagey, but it was actually the visitors who started to look the more dominant force as the first half went on.
Wolves hit the crossbar and had a constant threat down both wings; their problem was the final ball once they got into the penalty area. Too often, the players would look to cut it back to whoever was supposed to be arriving with a late run, missing out on the chance to try and find star forward Raul Jimenez around the six-yard box.
Their probing threatened to turn the London Stadium toxic with nerves beginning to build among the home supporters, only for Hammers midfielder Divine Mukasa to rocket home from well outside the area to ease any tension. Jarrod Bowen put the hosts in the driving seat not long after by converting from the penalty spot.
Wolves hit back immediately through a well-placed effort from Marshall Munetsi - but second-half strikes from Mukasa again and Konstantinos Mavropanos (who also turned into his own net shortly after) ensured Nuno got one over against his former club.
The result will turn out to be a crucial one for West Ham, who needed to get some points on the board as early as possible after a slow start - they will feel they have enough to kick on from here.
While it might raise some eyebrows for Wolves, they shouldn't worry too much themselves. The goals conceded came from a superb strike from distance, a penalty, a major deflection and a set-piece that they admittedly should have defended better.
Manager Cesar Peixoto will learn a lot from the defeat, but there were positives as well, especially the performances of Fer Lopez, Munetsi and Mateus Mane.
Swansea and Wrexham enjoy success
There has been plenty of praise for Swansea's transfer activity over the summer, and rightly so.
Vitor Matos has quietly assembled a great squad for the Championship and particularly for how he wants his team to play; dominating the ball with plenty of chances created and lots of shots on goal.
The board have spent strong money on Stephen Eustaquio, Joseph Opoku and Moussa Kounfolo Yeo, as well as New Zealand's World Cup hero Elijah Just.
Those arrivals were supplemented by shrewd moves for free agents Ross Stewart and Stephen Welsh, while some exciting loans in Jeremy Monga, Jensen Seelt and Thiago Parente capped off some exciting business.
It was two of last season's players, though, that were key to their 2-0 win over Watford. Ji-Sung Eom opened the scoring after being assisted by Adam Idah, with the duo combining again for the second just 20 minutes later.
The Swans now sit top of the table having won three and drawn one, while also conceding just one goal so far.
Fellow Welsh club Wrexham haven't quite enjoyed the same success in the opening weeks of the campaign but did pick up their first win with a surprise 3-0 triumph away at Millwall.
Phil Parkinson's side dominated the ball at the Den and took their chances when they arrived - netting three goals from just three shots on target.
It was actually an own goal from Zak Sturge that got the ball rolling, before Kieffer Moore and new signing Jacques Ekomie finished things off in the second half.
A solid window from Wrexham gives them a great platform to push on from missing out on the play-offs on the final day last season - with money spent on goalkeeper Anthony Patterson, experienced Championship stars in Joe Worrall, Callum O'Hare and Ben Whiteman, as well as exciting wing-back trio Ekomie, Issa Kabore and Daniel Imray.
Wrexham and Swansea face off in their next fixture - definitely a game to look out for over the weekend.
Plenty of top midweek goals
We've already mentioned it, but Mukasa's strike for West Ham stood out in a week full of excellent strikes, and it undoubtedly claims our Goal of the Week.
There were plenty of great efforts, though, including Middlesbrough's Aidan Morris netting his first goal in 95 appearances and Callum Styles thundering home a brilliant strike for West Brom.
Idah wins Player of the Week
Swansea's Idah was excellent in their win over Watford, scoring and getting an assist to earn a 9.2 Flashscore rating.
The striker had excellent underlying numbers too, registering six shots, completing four dribbles and winning seven duels.
His rating was the highest of any for the latest set of Championship fixtures, making Idah our Player of the Week.
