It has already been a thrilling midweek of European action for fans, with Arsenal hosting PSG on Tuesday before Barcelona and Inter Milan went head-to-head on Wednesday. The Europa League and Conference League get their chance to shine on Thursday with the semi-final first legs.

Athletic Club enjoy home advantage over Manchester United following their battling win over Rangers in the previous round. Tottenham Hotspur welcome Bodo/Glimt to a stadium that staged Chris Eubank Jr's stunning win over Conor Benn less than a week ago. Another grudge match is expected, but will Spurs grab a first-leg lead?

In the last four of the Conference League, Chelsea head to Djurgarden while Real Betis play Fiorentina. Here are our big match previews and predictions.

Athletic Club v Manchester United, Thursday, 8pm

Athletic Club - Manchester United

It's La Liga versus the Premier League as Athletic Club aim to end the run of another popular British club. The latest betting odds at bet365 price the home win as an even money favourite. Will you side with the Spanish or take the 14/5 on Manchester United or 12/5 the draw?

Athletic Club beat Rangers 2-0 on aggregate in the quarter-finals, with both goals scored in the second leg at the Estadio San Mames. An Oihan Sancet penalty on the stroke of half-time and an 80th-minute winner from Nico Williams sent the Lions through.

In La Liga, Athletic sit in fourth place and are on course for a spot in next season's Champions League. Ernesto Valverde's side have won three and drawn two of their previous six league starts, meaning they set up in excellent form.

Manchester United beat one of the competition favourites in the quarters, edging French Ligue 1 giants Lyon 7-6 on aggregate after extra time. It was a fascinating double header poised at 2-2 heading to England, before United won 5-4 thanks to a late goal from Harry Maguire.

In the Premier League, United are down in 14th after failing to win any of their last five. The game comes at a bad time for the visitors, and the hosts will take advantage.

Tip Athletic Club win @ evens (1/1)

Bet explanation: The bet wins if Athletic Club beats Inter Milan regardless of the score line.

Tottenham v Bodo/Glimt, Thursday, 8pm

Tottenham - Bodo/Glimt

Tottenham invite the competition's surprise package to London, and there are no surprises in the pre-match betting odds available at bet365. Traders offer the home win at 3/10, with the draw at a chunky 5/1. Fancy the visitors? The Norwegians are 15/2 to pile pressure on their hosts.

Tottenham struggled past recent winners Eintracht Frankfurt in the previous round, eventually winning 2-1 on aggregate. The Premier League side were held to a 1-1 draw at home by the German Bundesliga outfit, needing a Dominic Solanke penalty to keep their dream alive.

In domestic action, Spurs are 16th in the ladder, surprisingly close to the relegation zone. They've won just 11 of their 34 EPL games, but fans are glad their club will avoid the embarrassment of being dumped in the second tier.

Bodo/Glimt have given followers more than one stunning upset win this season. They defied the odds to eliminate Serie A big guns Lazio in the quarters. The tie ended at 3-3 on aggregate, with Bodo/Glimt going through 3-2 on penalties.

The visitors aren't to be taken lightly and are here on merit. But beating Spurs in north London looks a bridge too far. The home side know winning this trophy is their only chance of playing Champions League football next season. That will be the driving force behind a strong win.

Tip Tottenham win @ 3/10

Bet explanation: If Tottenham win at home, you'll land the profits.

Djurgarden v Chelsea, Thursday, 8pm

Chelsea travel to the 3Arena in Stockholm, Sweden, for a tantalising semi-final first leg. The Blues aim to secure a strong away win and take a lead back to Stamford Bridge, but that's easier said than done against an ambitious and well-organised opponent.

Djurgarden upset the odds in the previous round with an impressive 4-2 aggregate win over Rapid Vienna. The victors lost 1-0 at home, but rallied to secure a 4-1 victory on the road. They are 11th in the Swedish Allsvenskan table, but claimed four of the previous six points available. The Iron Stoves beat Oster 1-0 at home before enjoying a weekend off to prepare for Thursday.

Chelsea are the betting favourites to win the Europa Conference League, and the Londoners are hitting top form at the right time. They beat Legia Warsaw 4-2 on aggregate, getting the job done with a strong away win in the first leg, leaving with a 3-0 win. Chelsea then scored a Premier League double, beating Fulham 2-1 and Everton 1-0.

There's no denying the Swedes have impressed in their run to the semi-finals, but this is where I expect their adventure to end. The visitors are ending the season on a high, and the stats suggest the away win is the correct approach. Given how they beat Warsaw in the quarters, I expect them to win with a bit to spare.

Tip Chelsea -1 handicap @ 10/11

Bet explanation: Chelsea must win by two or more goals to land your bet.

Real Betis v Fiorentina, Thursday, 8pm

It's Spain versus Italy as the La Liga side welcome their Serie A opponents to Estadio Benito Villamarín. Will the Green and Whites make home advantage count?

Real Betis is pushing hard for a top-five finish in La Liga and a spot in next season's Champions League. Thanks to four wins and a draw in six, they're currently one point behind Villarreal and the prizes. They warmed up for this task with a stunning 5-1 home win over Real Valladolid, just days after leaving Girona with a 3-1 win. Real Betis are flying.

Fiorentina have been fantastic throughout the Conference League campaign. The Italians finished third in the Conference League thanks to four wins, one draw and a defeat. In Serie A, the Violets are eighth, but still have a realistic shot at finishing in the top four. They beat Empoli 2-1 on Sunday, and plan to keep things tight again on Thursday.

It seems too early to call which team will progress to the final over two legs, but we're backing Betis to win at home by a slight margin. Regular football bettors know Spanish teams have a fantastic home record in Europe, and Real Betis merit a spot in your accumulators.

Tip Real Betis to win @ 8/11

Bet explanation: If Real Betis beat Fiorentina, your bet wins, regardless of the score or scorers.
