Eredivisie giants Ajax are reportedly set to sign Maximilian Ibrahimovic on loan with an option to buy from AC Milan.

Maximilian Ibrahimovic, son of former Ajax and AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, will join Ajax on loan for the rest of the season, Fabrizio Romano and Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf reported. The Amsterdam club will reportedly have an option to buy the Swede.

Vincent Ibrahimovic, Maximilan's brother and a current member of AC Milan's U17 side, reposted Romano's post on Instagram.

The 19-year-old Ibrahimovic joined the Rossoneri in 2022 from Swedish outfit Hammarby, the club his father has a 23.5% share of.

The Swedish left forward has since played for the under-17, under-18, under-19, and Futuro teams. For Futuro, the club's under-21 team that competes in Serie D, Ibrahimovic has scored five goals and assisted five in 18 appearances.

Ibrahimovic, who joins the senior team's practice three times a week, debuted in AC Milan's matchday squad for the semi-final of the Supercoppa Italiana on 18 December 2025, but remained an unused substitute. He's under contract in Milan until 2027.

At Ajax, Ibrahimovic will join the senior team for practice, but is likely play his games for Jong Ajax, the club's under-21 team which plies its trade in the Dutch second tier.
