20:40 BST - Leah Williamson told BBC Sport that she just knew England were going to win back-to-back European titles.
"Just total disbelief, but at the same time like I knew it was going to happen," she said.
"Playing for this England team is unbelievable. It's such an amazing feeling to be a part of. The way we defended, as a back four especially but as a whole team, nothing came through us.
"It just felt like it was gonna be our day."
20:30 BST - England defender Jess Carter said their win over Spain was "incredible".
"It's in our DNA," she explained to ITV Sport. "Finding a way to win and never giving up and we stick together.
"The one time we didn't stick together was against the France team and after that we’ve stuck together from minute one to the very end.
"I couldn’t be prouder of this team and I’m so honoured to be a part of it."
20:20 BST - England head coach Sarina Wiegman has won the last three European Championships in a row; twice with England and once with her native Netherlands, and was lost for words in her post-match interview.
"I can’t believe it," she told ITV Sport. "We are European champions again. Sometimes you think 'okay, when is this gonna stop', but I’m just going to enjoy the moment.
"It's just incredible. This team. Again, how we step up all the time and never give up."
20:11 BST - Leah Williamson lifts the trophy aloft as gold confetti bursts into the sky. England are champions of Europe once again!

20:06 BST - There are two awards before the trophy is lifted:
Player of the Tournament: Aitana Bonmati (Spain)
Young Player of the Tournament: Michelle Agyemang (England)
20:05 BST - Winning penalty taker Chloe Kelly has been speaking to BBC Sport and explained how she was relaxed as she took her kick.
"I was cool, I was composed and I knew I was going to hit the back of the net. I don’t miss penalties twice," she said.
19:59 BST - An incredible stat: England have led for a total of four minutes across all three of their knock-out matches.
19:57 BST - Spain's players are in tears. Mead goes over to comfort Caldentey, Bronze goes over to Batlle while Pina just sits on the pitch in disbelief.
Spain took a 1-0 lead and seemed on course to emulate their World Cup win in 2023 - but back came England with Hampton and Kelly starring under immense pressure.

19:13 BST - The ball fizzes across the face of England's goal but Paralluelo misses a sitter for Spain! Huge let-off for the Lionesses.
19:09 BST - Spain's Pina drops the shoulder, goes past Bronze, and takes a shot at goal that goes wide. This is very tense.
19:03 BST - Only three previous finals have gone beyond 90 minutes: In 1991 (Germany 3-1 Norway), 2001 (Germany 1-0 Sweden), and in 2022 when England beat Germany 2-1 through a Chloe Kelly winner.
Can the Lionesses find a breakthrough once more...

17:20 BST - The best chance of the game so far falls England's way as Hemp pounces on a poor pass inside the area but can only fire straight at Spain goalkeeper Cata Coll.
