The UEFA Europa League final will see Freiburg take on Aston Villa in Istanbul. Both teams will head into the tie believing they can win, having been two of the most free-scoring teams in the competition.
Freiburg head into the final in good form, having finished their Bundesliga campaign with a huge 4-1 win over RB Leipzig. Having finished seventh in their league, the German team are guaranteed a place in the UEFA Conference League next season, but a win on Wednesday night would elevate them right to the Champions League and a place among the elite European teams next season.
Aston Villa have secured themselves a Champions League spot for 2026/27 already, having beaten Liverpool on Friday night to secure their top-five status in the Premier League. With that momentum behind them, and a manager who knows a thing or two about winning the UEL, Villa will be looking to secure their first European trophy since the European Cup in 1982.
