Salford City beat Cheltenham Town in the second round of the FA Cup on Saturday and could face current holders Manchester United or Premier League leaders Liverpool in the next round when the draw is made on Monday.

The club, currently 15th in League Two, is owned by a group of former United players including David Beckham, Ryan Giggs, Gary Neville and Paul Scholes.

The Class of '92, as they have become known, took majority ownership of the Greater Manchester-based club alongside Singaporean businessman Peter Lim in 2014.

Since then Salford City have enjoyed a meteoric rise through the divisions, achieving four promotions in five seasons to reach the EFL in 2019.

The widely-anticipated third round draw will feature all 44 teams in the Premier League and Championship, as well as the 20 victorious sides from the second round.

When is the FA Cup third round draw?

The unseeded draw will take place at Old Trafford, home of the defending champions, at 7pm on Monday 2nd December.

Kelly Sommers will present the draw, which will be broadcast live on BBC Two, with Mark Hughes and Dion Dublin picking out the team balls.

Ties will take place over the weekend of 11th January, with the schedule to be announced in due course.
