Eze was back in the starting XI for last night's FA Cup win against Wigan Athletic.
The summer arrival from Crystal Palace has been struggling to break into Arteta's starting XI and the Gunners manager hinted he wants to see the midfielder take more aggressive action in the opposition area.
"He's already playing an important role," said Arteta.
"He's played a lot of games for us and will continue to do so. Those players need those moments, and especially when we're talking about creative players, they need to feel like they're creating those moments."
