Chelsea, who face Los Angeles at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on Monday, took part in final preparations at their training base at Philadelphia Union's training facility in Chester.
Among those joining the squad was a youthful contingent of new signings: 22-year-old Liam Delap, 19-year-old goalkeeper Mike Penders, 20-year-old defender Mamadou Sarr, 20-year-old midfielder Dario Essugo, and 21-year-old Andrey Santos.
"I feel proud. It is the first and everything is new for us. So we must adapt as quickly as possible to make sure we are ready," manager Enzo Maresca told Chelsea.com.
"At this moment the players are normally away enjoying their holiday and recovering energy. That is not the case because we are here to try to win. We can rest after the Club World Cup!"
Man City arrived in the US on Thursday and have been acclimatising in Florida as they prepare to take on Moroccan side Wydad in their opening Group G fixture on Wednesday.
Their 27-strong squad includes four new players Rayan Ait-Nouri, Marcus Bettenelli, Rayan Cherki and Tijjani Reijnders, who could make their debut next week.
The Cityzens will be hoping to banish memories of a dire season in which they failed to win any domestic silverware for the first time in eight years.
"This is a very, very serious competition," said manager Pep Guardiola. "In the summer, the whole world will be watching this.
"A big number of the top teams in the world will be competing in this tournament and I can assure you, we're going to give it our best shot."
Elsewhere Trent Alexander-Arnold has been pictured warming up with his new Real Madrid teammates in West Palm Beach for the first time ahead of their Club World Cup showdown against Al-Hilal in Miami on Wednesday.
