22:55 BST - That's a wrap for us tonight with the Tracker. Thanks for joining us and goodnight!

22:48 BST - Trent Alexander-Arnold was delighted to make his debut for Real Madrid this evening, but too knackered to speak in Spanish.

"After playing a game, it is hard to concentrate that much to speak Spanish," he told reporters after the match.

"An amazing day to make my debut for Real Madrid. Almost what every player dreams of.

"Some disappointment not to have won the game. The mentality you need to have as a Real Madrid player is to expect to win every game you're playing, but a lot of positives, especially in the second half.

"I think in the second half we kept the ball really well - that is what we lacked in the first half. In this heat, it is important to keep hold of the ball as best as you can.

"We were in and around their box a lot. It just wasn't meant to be. Nobody is to blame and we take the positives, and we have things we can work on.

"I am sure we will do that going into the next game."

22:34 BST - Xabi Alonso was keen to look on the bright side after his first outing as Real Madrid boss.

"You have to take positives from every game," the Spaniard told DAZN.

"We have to learn what we can improve, and every game will give us lessons.

"We had great support from fans from all over the world, and we're very delighted.

"We improved in the second half. We had better chances, more control. It will be the principles to start building something."

22:16 BST - We'll have some reaction as soon as it drops.

22:08 BST - FULL-TIME! It ends all square in Xabi Alonso's first game in charge of Real Madrid against Al Hilal.

22:00 BST - PENALTY SAVED!

Fede Valverde sees his penalty saved by Al Hilal keeper Bono. It's still 1-1!

21:59 BST - PENALTY!

Mohammed Al Qahtani gives away a penalty for handball in the area. The Al Hilal players are furious with the decision but the ref waves them away and books a couple of players for their protests.

21:57 BST - Seven minutes of added time to be played.

21:33 BST - Trent's race is run on his Madrid debut, he's off around the hour mark, but will be very pleased with his performance. He's bagged a 7.0 rating and boasted an 89 per cent pass completion rate. Not too bad.

21:31 BST - Real Madrid are pushing for a second and are looking the most likely based on the momentum charts after 60 minutes:

21:14 BST - Back at it for the second half!

20:55 BST - HALF-TIME! The referee blows his whistle and it's 1-1 at the break.

20:51 BST - There will be five minutes of time added on at the end of the first half.

20:46 BST - GOAL! Ruben Neves sends Thibaut Courtois the wrong way and equalises for Al Hilal. It's all square at 1-1.

20:44 BST - PENALTY! Raul Asencio fouls in the box and the referee Facundo Tello points to the spot.

20:39 BST - GOAL! From one end of the pitch to the other, Real Madrid break and Gonzalo Garcia taps home from a Rodrygo pass. It's 1-0.

20:38 BST - Real Madrid have their best chance of the match as Rodrygo fizzes a shot narrowly over the bar.

20:24 BST - Agonisingly close Al-Hilal. Renan Lodi scores with a sumptuous finish, but the goal is ruled out for offside.

20:21 BST - The 19-times champions of Saudi Pro League are looking comfortable and have enjoyed most of the possession (54 per cent) and shots on goal (six to Real's one), but it's still 0-0.

20:08 BST - The first bit of action for Alexander-Arnold as Real Madrid defend a free-kick outside the area. Sergej Milinkovic-Savic eventually takes a shot that hits the wall.

20:05 BST - And we're off! Why they can't start these games on time is anyone's guess.

As well as Alexander-Arnold, Real Madrid manager Xabi Alonso is taking charge of the club for the first time and so too is Al Hilal's Filippo Inzaghi.

19:56 BST - The players are coming out, one-by-one, as they line up in the heat and humidity.

Real Madrid are wearing jumpers, which is an odd look. Bellingham in the tunnel looks like he's sweating already and he's not even walked on to the pitch yet.

19:47 BST - The players have just warmed up and we're not far away from kick-off.

19:20 BST - We are around 40 minutes away from the second match of the day as Real Madrid take on Al Hilal in the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.

Former Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold makes his debut and Rodrygo, who has been linked with a transfer away from the Bernabeu, also starts.

19:00 BST - FULL-TIME: Manchester City 2-0 Wydad.

City get the job done in routine fashion, defeating Wydad after goals from Foden and Doku. A red card for Lewis perhaps puts a dampener on what was turning into a successful outing for Guardiola's side.

You can read the match report here.

18:51 BST - RED CARD! Rico Lewis is shown a pretty harsh red card - his follow-through catches the Wydad player despite winning the ball with a superb tackle.

18:40 BST - Little to report from the second half so far, with City largely cruising through the game pre-season style.

18:12 BST - We're back underway between Manchester City and Wydad.

17:50 BST - HALF-TIME: Manchester City 2-0 Wydad.

City go into the break with a two-goal lead after a relatively comfortable showing, although Wydad have had their moments.

17:43 BST - GOAL! City finally have their second, with Jeremy Doku converting from close range.

17:33 BST - It should be 1-1! Wydad have had a few decent chances this half and just missed the biggest one so far, with Lorch going through one-on-one against Ederson and slipping at the decisive moment.

17:18 BST - Just over 15 minutes played and it was looking grim for Wydad, but they've settled surprisingly well and have gotten forward on a few occasions. Thembinkosi Lorch has just tested Ederson from his own half, seeing an audacious effort saved by the Brazilian.

17:04 BST - GOAL! That didn't take long at all. Phil Foden puts City ahead after their first meaningful attack. The fastest goal of the tournament so far.

17:00 BST - We're underway at the Lincoln Financial Field Stadium.

16:57 BST - Former Premier League player Nordin Amrabat is making his debut for Wydad this evening, even being named captain at the age of 38. He last featured with Hull in the Championship at the end of the 2024/25 campaign.
