01:49 BST - That's it from us this evening, thanks for staying awake though all that! We'll soon be back for more, but hopefully without the weather delays.
01:40 BST - FULL-TIME: What an absolute marathon that was, but Chelsea have finally won it.

01:33 BST - GOAL! Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall now has one. Where were you lads 30 minutes ago!?
01:31 BST - GOAL! Pedro Neto has Chelsea's third! Surely penalties are out of the question now.
01:28 BST - GOAL! Christopher Nkunku has potentially spared us a bout of penalties!
01:20 BST - We've reached the break in extra time. Penalties are looming...
01:07 BST - RED CARD! Gianluca Prestianni is shown a second yellow card and that's him off for an 'early' shower. Probably has a breakfast reservation somewhere.
01:05 BST - We are back underway in Charlotte.
01:01 BST - END OF THE 90 MINUTES. We're going to extra time.
00:57 BST - GOAL! Benfica have equalised through Angel di Maria, who slots the ball home from the spot to keep his side alive in the Club World Cup.
00:55 BST - PENALTY! It's been awarded. The ball crashes into the arm of Malo Gusto, and the arm of Malo Gusto was above his head. Cheers, Malo.
00:53 BST - The referee is checking a potential penalty for Benfica! This could be the chance for an equaliser only a few thousand people want...
00:46 BST - We are back underway! No extra time, now, please.
00:24 BST - According to Sky Sports' Kaveh Solhekol, fans have been told that there will be no restart "until further notice" which is not ideal for any Chelsea fans in the UK hoping to get some sleep this evening.
00:15 BST - Well 30 minutes have now passed and we still have no players.
Saturday, 28 June
23:45 BST - Still no sign of play at the Bank of America Stadium. On the coverage on DAZN, suggestions are that we won't see play for another half hour at least.
23:42 BST - That winning feeling...

23:20 BST - The Chelsea and Benfica players are expected to begin warming up at 11.25pm BST, with officials hoping to restart play 20 minutes later.
23:08 BST - Your 2025 U21 champions...

22:53 BST - Chelsea's game against Benfica has ben suspended due to extreme weather. The BBC are reporting that fans are being told to go into the concourse. There is as yet no indication on how long the game will be paused for.
22:45 BST - View from Bratislava: The scenes of celebration at full time from England show just how much this tournament means. For some of these players, this will be as good as it gets, for others it is another step on their journey. England didn't make it easy after losing a two-goal lead that they had so effortlessly built early on, but the resilience of the side was on show as they battled to defend their lead late on.
For Germany, perhaps the most threatening side in the tournament, they will be heartbroken to not make their late chances count, hitting the bar at the end of both the second half and at the end of the game. Nico Woltemade did not register a shot, the final's biggest disappointment, blunting their normally potent frontline.
Lee Carsley has taken two totally different squads - minus Harvey Elliott and Charlie Cresswell - to glory, a remarkable achievement for a coach that didn't even spend the full year with the side. He called them 'clunky' at the start of the tournament. Now, he has seen them reach their full potential.
22:38 BST - FULL-TIME! England retain their Under-21 European Championship crown after a thrilling 3-2 victory against Germany. Jonathan Rowe was England's match winner with his goal in extra time. But the win after extra time was built on defensive stability and a healthy crossbar that denied a late Merlin Rohl volley. It was last ditch, it was desperate, but England are champions once more.
22:29 BST - GOAL! Chelsea finally have a goal - Reece James is the man to put his side 1-0 ahead against Benfica in the Club World Cup.
22:24 BST - We have 10 minutes of extra time left in Bratislava, and England are now pinned back inside their own box. Crosses are flying in, but Cresswell and Norton-Cuffy head them away as Beadle comes to claim another. The pressure on these young shoulder is mounting, can they hold what they have?
22:22 BST - We are nearly at the hour mark in Chelsea's match against Benfica and we still haven't had a goal.
22:14 BST - Half-time in extra time and England continue to lead 3-2 after Jonathan Rowe's header with his first meaningful touch of the game. Since then, England have defended stoutly with substitutes pressing Germany back. Nico Woltemade has yet to have a shot in the game, and his side will need something out of him in the last 15 minutes if they are to at least drag this final to penalties.
22:04 BST - Meanwhile, Chelsea's game against Benfica has reached half-time with neither team having scored yet.

22:00 BST - GOAL! Instant impact from Jonathan Rowe as England regain the lead with his first touch. A delightful, teasing cross finds the striker and although it was an unorthodox header, he finds the back of the next. This game is delivering some drama!
21:57 BST - Two changes for England to start extra time. Jonathan Rowe and Ethan Nwaneri both on for James McAtee and Harvey Elliott. A huge call by Lee Carsley as removes his two star players, but they both looked to be cramping, so two enforced changes.
21:53 BST - EXTRA TIME: Germany have had their chance to win it. Two last-ditch tackles deny them a goalscoring opportunity, and eventually falls to Paul Nebel. His shot deflects and agonisingly cannons off the bar. England survive, and we are heading to extra time in Bratislava.
21:34 BST - Extra time anyone? We are nearing the last 15 minutes in Bratislava, and it's tense inside the stadium. Both sides have made changes to break the deadlock, with England reverting back to their strikerless system from earlier in the tournament, whilst Ansgar Knauff, scorer against England in the group stage, is on for Germany. Can anyone find a winner?
21:19 BST - GOAL! We are level in Bratislava! Germany, after being outplayed in the first half, have battled hard to start this second half and deserve their leveller. A corner from the right falls to Paul Nebel, the architect for their first. He picks the ball up at the backpost, cuts in on his right foot and finds the top corner. A sickener for Lee Carsley's side, but we have a real game on our hands now.
21:04 BST - We are back in action in Bratislava - can England hold out for the win?
21:01 BST - And we are underway in Chelsea's Club World Cup clash with Benfica in the round of 16 of the FIFA Club World Cup.
20:50 BST - HALF-TIME: There's the whistle in Bratislava where England lead Germany 2-1 in the U21 Euros final.

View from Bratislava: That Germany goal just before the break has lit the touch paper on this final against England. It was the Young Lions with some flawless football that took a two-goal lead, but Nelson Weiper header will have dented their confidence.
The Germans look dangerous when they get the ball into the box, so if England can snuff out that threat, it could be plain sailing. We have yet to see much of Nico Woltemade as England have doubled up on him to prevent his threat.
What felt so sure for England five minutes before the break, now feels perilous. Same old England?
20:47 BST - GOAL! Germany are back in the game as Nelson Weiper heads home just before half-time. A well-worked cross finds the tall striker and he makes no mistake, placing a bullet header past James Beadle. For all of their domination, England will be the side going into the interval disappointed despite being 2-1 ahead.
20:44 BST - A poignant moment for England midfielder Alex Scott. Injured in an earlier challenge, the Bournemouth man has been forced off to be replaced by Tyler Morton. Scott was in tears leaving the field, showing what it means to him as his family fly the Guernsey flag high.
20:36 BST - With 10 minutes to go in the first half, this final is not a contest. A soft German midfield is being bypassed time and time again. They are lucky to only be 2-0 down.
Anotino Di Salvo is prowling the touchline, frustrated that his side just haven't shown up yet. For his opposite number Lee Carsley, it's England's best period in the tournament. They are winning every ball, making every tackle. Men against boys would be the phrase, but we are at the Under-21 European Championship.
20:34 BST - What a moment for Harvey Elliott, who opened the scoring this evening.

20:25 BST - GOAL! The family section goes crazy in front of the press box as the Young Lions double their lead. Germany are looking vulnerable through their centre, and a delicious through ball from Harvey Elliott sends James McAtee in behind.

The German defence does well to initially stop him, but undeterred he finds Omari Hutchinson on the overlap and he makes no mistake. Noah Atubolu should do better, but Hutchinson is doing somersaults and so are some of the England fans in the stands.
20:22 BST - Jay Stansfield has to score! Harvey Elliott breaks forward for 60 yards and a great run from Stansfield allows the Liverpool man to put in Omari Hutchinson. He squares it across to Stansfield, who seems to have a brain fade and just misses the ball with the goal at his mercy. Germany really vulnerable on the break
20:19 BST - England's star pair of James McAtee and Harvey Elliott were always going to be important tonight, and after the latter's early strike, it's the former who nearly adds his name to the scoresheet. A silky, skilful touch sets the Manchester City forward in on goal, but his effort flashes across the face of goal. England in command early, but the threat of towering Nico Woltemade is always lurking for Germany...
20:14 BST - Here's how the two teams will line up in the round of 16 clash between Chelsea and Benfica at the Club World Cup.

20:07 BST - GOAL! England are ahead! It's that man again, Harvey Elliott started the move by cutting in from the right and after some luck as well as an Omari Hutchinson shot, it falls kindly back to the Liverpool winger, who, once again shows his composure to slot away the opener. He is England's star man and he won't be denied.
20:01 BST - And we're off in the U21 Euros final! Can England beat Germany to lift the trophy?
19:56 BST - The teams are out on the pitch in Bratislava - not long to go now!
19:47 BST - Meanwhile, Palmeiras have beaten Botafogo RJ in the round of 16 match at the FIFA Club World Cup. It ended 1-0 after extra time, so hardly a thriller, but Palmeiras won't mind one bit as they book their place in the quarter-finals.
19:38 BST - And here's what's on offer to the two teams tonight:

19:18 BST - Here's how the two teams will line up for the Under-21 European Championship final.

19:09 BST - The FIFA Club World Cup match between Palmeiras and Botafogo RJ has gone to extra-time after finishing the 90 minutes at 0-0.
18:51 BST - And right on cue, here's Josh with the team news from the stadium...
"From a sunny Bratislava the team news is in for England vs Germany in the Under-21 European Championship. Unsurprisingly, England are unchanged from their 2-1 victory against the Netherlands with Lee Carsley keeping faith in the 4-3-3 system which has seen them through the knockout stages.
That switch began at half-time in the 2-1 loss to Germany during the group stage. For Antonio Di Salvo's young charges, he has made two changes from the team that saw off France in midweek.
One is enforced with Max Rosenfelder out with a muscle injury. He is replaced at the heart of the defence by Tim Oermann. The other is tactical as Ansgar Knauff is replaced by Brajan Gruda in the frontline."
18:46 BST - Harvey Elliott put his name in lights and England on his shoulders as he masterminded the 2-1 victory over the Netherlands in the semi-finals.
Here Flashscore's Josh Donaldson writes about Elliott's continuing Euros love affair.
18:31 BST - Are you ready, Chelsea fans?
18:16 BST - Good evening and welcome along for a night of football that sees England face Germany in the U21 Euros while Chelsea take on Benfica in the last 16 of the FIFA Club World Cup.
We'll bring you all the key updates as they unfold over the course of the evening.
