Inter’s tournament got off to a frustrating start as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Monterrey in their opener at the Rose Bowl in Los Angeles.
Despite dominating possession and creating several chances, including a goal from Lautaro Martínez, Inter couldn’t find a winner, leaving them hungry for three points to boost their chances of advancing.
Urawa Reds, meanwhile, come into the match after a 3-1 defeat to Argentina’s River Plate, a game in which they showed resilience but ultimately fell short.
The Japanese side qualified for the Club World Cup by winning the 2022 AFC Champions League and are managed by Polish coach Maciej Skorża, who has guided them to continental success before.

Lautaro Martinez to score
Lautaro Martinez is in red-hot form for Inter Milan and with the Italian side expected to run riot against Urawa, the Argentine will get his goalscoring opportunities.
Martinez has scored nine goals in nine matches in international competition in 2025 (UEFA Champions League and FIFA Club World Cup), including Inter’s lone goal against Monterrey on Tuesday.
Against Moterrey, Martinez accumulated the most Expected Goals (1.04) and remains Inter’s prime target upfront. With odds of 33/50 on bet365 to score, the 27-year-old will fancy his chances against an Urawa defense that has conceded 20 goals in 21 games this season.
Tip: Lautaro Martinez to score @33/50
Bet explanation: This bet wins if Lautaro Martinez scores against Urawa Reds.
Inter Milan to score at least two goals
On any other day, Inter Milan should have run away comfortable victors against Monterrey if they had their shooting boots on.
Only FC Bayern Munich (4.28) recorded a higher expected goals total than Inter (2.57) among teams from groups A-F in the opening round of the FIFA Club World Cup. The Serie A side attempted eight shots after half-time, including five inside the box, but failed to hit the target.
The underlying numbers were impressive and Christian Chivu’s side should be able to create similar chances against a relatively weaker Urawa side that conceded three goals in their opening game.
Tip: Inter Milan to score at least two goals @1/4
Bet explanation: This bet wins if Inter Milan score at least two goals against Urawa Reds.
Nico Barella to play at least two shots
In Inter’s opening match against Monterrey, Nico Barella played the most shots in the game with a tally of three.
The Italian got into advanced areas in the game with two of his shots coming from inside the box. The numbers aren’t too surprising given Barella also played the most shots (2) for Inter Milan in the Champions League final against PSG.
Barella’s odds to play at least two shots currently sit at 9/25 on bet365 and with Urawa to sit deep, the midfielder will have more room to have more efforts from range.
Tip: Nico Barella to play at least two shots@9/25
Bet explanation: This bet wins if Nico Barella plays at least two shots against Urawa Reds.
