One of the standout fixtures from the Club World Cup 2025 group stage happens on Thursday from 20:00 BST when two huge names from European football go head-to-head in Juventus and Manchester City. The teams are no strangers to meeting on the big stage and have delivered some memorable, competitive games. We're hoping for a thrilling renewal at the Camping World Stadium in Orlando, a match you can follow live on DAZN.

Juventus enter game three sitting proudly atop Group G, having won their two previous starts in this competition. The Italians boast a maximum of six points with nine goals scored and only one conceded. Already well clear of Wydad Casablanca in third place, Juve have already secured their spot in the knockout rounds. Will they progress as champions of the division?

Manchester City head to Orlando also carrying a perfect record, beating both Wydad AC and Al Ain without encountering too much fuss along the way. The English Premier League side start in second place, already safely through to the Round of 16. Winning Group G with a late assault on the summit would impress fans and help silence critics following a difficult domestic campaign.

Stats support the OId Lady

Juventus have a marginal advantage over Manchester City entering matchday three. The Serie A side's goal difference is plus eight, the same as their opponents from Britain, but the Old Lady has scored one goal more. A draw would ensure they wrap things up in style, keeping Pep Guardiola's big spenders at arm's length. They put five goals past Al Ain on matchday one in Washington State, thanks in no small part to a first-half brace from Kolo Muani. A double from Conceicao and a Yildiz strike ensured a comfortable debut.

With the wind in their sails following that strong victory over the team from Abu Dhabi, Juventus then turned their attentions to Morocco's Wydad Casablanca on matchday two. It was another impressive performance, another solid win and three more vital points added to their tally. Juve thrashed Wydad 4-1 at Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia, before an audience of more than 30,000 appreciative football fans. Yildiz scored another two, while an own-goal and first strike for Vlahovic helped put the icing on the cake.

Juventus now face their toughest test of the group when playing Manchester City. It's a huge step up in the standard of opponent, but the stats give Juve fans reason to be confident. The head-to-head results show that Juventus lost only once in seven meetings with Man City and won their last three. That trio includes 2-1, 1-0, and 2-0 wins. The most recent came in the Champions League late last year.

Tip: Juventus win @ 10/3 (bet365)

Bet explanation: You need Juventus to win the match, and the score doesn't matter.

Expect goals in Orlando

With Juventus scoring nine goals and Manchester City hitting eight, we're hopeful of another goal-fest in midweek. Neither team has anything to lose, having already secured their passage to the next round, having won their previous starts. But there's still all to play for with top spot in the group undecided. That should encourage both managers to let their guard down and shoot for the three points, knowing the worst case scenario is the runners-up spot. Juve v Man City has all the ingredients of a classic on the main stage.

The Brits opened their account with an important win over Wydad AC in Philadelphia on matchday one. The club arrived in the US under a dark cloud, having surrendered their Premier League title to Liverpool and watched on as PSG beat Inter Milan to claim the Champions League prize that had been residing in England for a year. Goals from Foden and Doku made it 2-0 by half-time, and Man City protected that strong lead during the second 45.

The team then picked up where they left off when playing Al Ain on matchday two. Having watched Juventus put five goals past the Moroccans without reply, Man City fans were eager to see their side do something similar. The Citizens lived up to expectations, breezing to a 6-0 victory at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. There were five different scorers that day, including a brace from Gundogan, who netted first, and added a second near the end. Neutrals hope for plenty more goals and talking points in game three.

Tip: Over 2.5 goals @ 9/10 (bet365)

Bet explanation: If the game has three or more goals, you'll secure the profits from this bet.

Back the Serb to score

After relying on the stats for our first two bets on Juventus v Man City - picking a Juventus win and over 2.5 goals - we shoot for a bigger prize with our third and final bet in Orlando. The top bookmakers offer odds on the goalscorers, and we rest our stake on super Serbian scorer Dusan Vlahovic. You can back him to notch the game's first goal, but we're happy to take the safety net offered by the anytime scorer market, picking the Juve attacker to get amongst the goals.

Digging deep into his recent form, we note Vlahovic scored first when Juventus beat Manchester City in Europe on 11th December. He found the net in the early exchanges of the second half and would dearly love to add to that here. The 25-year-old also scored against Wydad Casablanca last time, boosting confidence. He has the form, energy, and belief heading into this game, and he'll lead the line for Juve.

Vlahovic also recently found the net in a 2-0 win for Juventus over Udinese in the Serie A, scored again as Serbia beat Austria 2-0, and got the winner when his club defeated Cagliari 1-0 earlier this year. The fact that he's in charge of taking penalties for the Italians increases his chances of getting among the goals, and ramps up our potential to make a profit. When following this bet, it doesn't matter if he scores inside 60 seconds or with the last kick of the match. If Vlahovic finds the net, you find a winner.

Tip: Vlahovic to score @ 9/4 (bet365)

Bet explanation: You need Vlahovic to score at least one goal in this game.
