After thumping five goals past Al Ain in the American capital on Wednesday night, Juventus will be hoping to deliver a similar performance in their next group-stage fixture. Randal Kolo Muani and Francisco Conceição both registered braces against the UAE Pro League outfit, as Igor Tudor’s men leapt to the summit of Club World Cup Group G.
While Juve will complete the 135-mile journey from Washington D.C to Philadelphia ahead of Sunday’s clash, Wydad Casablanca find themselves competing at the same venue for the second time in five days. The Moroccans were soundly beaten by Manchester City earlier on Wednesday, as first-half goals from Phil Foden and Jérémy Doku handed the 2023 Champions League winners a comfortable 2-0 victory.
This will be the first competitive fixture between these two teams, who both know their group stage fate could be sealed this weekend. A second triumph for Juventus would all but guarantee the Bianconeri’s progression to the knockout stages, while the North Africans could face elimination if they fail to pick up at least a point against the Italians. Having fallen at the first hurdle in each of their previous two Club World Cup campaigns – losing to Mexicans Pachuca in 2017 before suffering a penalty shootout defeat to Al Hilal in Morocco five years later – Wydad will be desperate to avoid another repeat occurrence.
So, what can we expect on Sunday? We scrutinise the stats and evaluate the odds markets to provide you with the best betting tips ahead of this pivotal Club World Cup clash.

It’ll all be over when the Old Lady sings
Although Juventus have endured a challenging 2024/25 campaign, there seems little chance of Wydad Casablanca achieving a positive result on Sunday evening.
The ‘Red Castle’ are several levels below their Turin-based adversaries, as suggested by their recent outing against another of Europe’s elite sides. This notion is further endorsed when reflecting on their recent domestic struggles. Although the Casablancans haven’t been beaten in the league this calendar year, a third-place finish is undoubtedly a poor result for the most successful club in the land.
Just over a week before losing to the Citizens in Pennsylvania, Wydad were punted out of the newly established Excellence Cup at the quarter-final stage by struggling Union Touarga. This came two months after a surprise Coupe de Trône exit at the hands of soon-to-be relegated Moghreb Tétouan, a competition they’ve won on nine previous occasions.
After being eliminated from the Supercoppa Italiana, Coppa Italia, and Champions League within a miserable two-month period at the beginning of 2025, Juventus ended the season a chastening 12 points behind deserved champions Napoli. However, the Club World Cup debutants were at their imperious best against Al Ain last Wednesday.
The Bianconeri simply overwhelmed their Emirati opponents, as a dynamic forward line consisting of Randal Kolo Muani, Francisco Conceição, and Kenan Yıldız wreaked havoc at Audi Field. All three players concluded the one-sided tie on the scoresheet, having claimed five goals between them within 58 minutes of kick-off. In addition to enjoying the lion's share of possession, Juventus fired 16 shots at an overworked Rui Patrício, with seven of these hitting the target.
If Juventus’ front three can muster a similar performance on Sunday, it could be a long evening for Amine Benhachem’s men.
Betting tip: Juventus win to nil: 8/11 (bet365)
Explanation: This bet will land if Juventus win and Wydad Casablanca do not score.
Cornering the market
It may not always be the most exhilarating bet to place, but there is often good value in the corners market. Whether it be due to their tactical setup, defensive style, or attacking intent, some teams consistently feature in matches with notably high or low corner counts. Interestingly, both Juventus and Wydad tend to lean towards the latter metric.
An average of just 9.53 corners were awarded in matches involving Juventus throughout the 2024/25 Serie A campaign, while the equivalent figure for the likes of Lazio, Lecce, and Udinese was above ten. The Bianconeri would typically account for five of these 9.53 corners, therefore slightly edging their opponents (at 4.53) in any given fixture. However, only 34% of their contests yielded a total of 11 corners or more, a limited sum for a team that spends a considerable period of time in opposition territory. Similar conclusions can be drawn when reviewing last season’s Champions League stats, which show Juventus earned just 39 corners – an average of less than four per match – en route to the last 32.
Wydad Casablanca saw even fewer corners in league action, with matches involving the 22-time Botola Pro champions typically generating a modest 8.5 corners. Although a high percentage of these corners were admittedly awarded to Wydad, the 8.5 figure represents a lower total than the overall league average.
Although a combined total of 21 corners were taken across the two opening Group G fixtures, almost half of these were taken by Manchester City players. Despite their attacking exuberance, Juventus only received five corners as they put Al Ain to the sword, while Wydad were only awarded four.
Therefore, it seems Sunday’s clash is destined to produce a low volume of corners.
Betting tip: Under 10 corners in the match: 5/6 (bet365)
Explanation: This bet will land if nine corners or fewer are awarded during the match.
Can Francisco Conceição work his magic in consecutive fixtures?
Having registered seven goals and five assists since arriving at the Allianz Stadium on a season-long loan spell from Porto, it’s no wonder Juventus were desperate to extend Francisco Conceição’s temporary stint for the Club World Cup. Agile, industrious, and prepared to take on opposing defenders at every available opportunity, the diminutive winger possesses many of the same qualities once held by legendary father Sérgio.
He didn’t take long to make an impact in the famous black and white stripes, netting the winner in a Champions League group stage meeting with RB Leipzig after setting up Dušan Vlahović’s equalizer in the tie. After his eye-catching performance in Saxony, Conceição went on to rack up four assists while on Serie A duty, the latest of which helped Juve secure a place in Europe's flagship club competition for the third time in four seasons.
The Argentinian delivered two clinical finishes with his lethal left foot against Al Ain, continuing his rich vein of form. Whether he’ll find the net again on Sunday remains to be seen, but the 22-year-old star is odds-on to make a decisive impact in the final third.
Betting tip: Francisco Conceição to score or assist: 4/6 (bet365)
Explanation: This bet will land if Francisco Conceição scores or assists at any stage of the match.
