After Umar Sadiq, who has made a good start at Mestalla, it will soon be the turn of the English right-back, on loan from Bournemouth until the end of the season, to show his qualities.
"It's unbelievable to be here. I know Valencia are a great club, even though they're not at their best at the moment, but I'm ready to contribute as much as I can," he said, before offering a healthy dose of optimism.
"I knew what the team's situation was before I came here. But I'm convinced I can make an impact in the second part of the season."
Aarons says this from experience, from his days at Norwich, and because he trusts Carlos Corberan, his new coach.
"It's a very important challenge to be here in this second half of the season and I already know this moment from when I was at Norwich City. I have spoken to Corberan. I like him as a coach, as well as the project he has."
It's a project that for him has a deadline of June 30th, unless Valencia pay nine million euros (£7.59m). But he is not thinking about that, but rather about "being ready for every game".
And the Englishman does not lack confidence in himself.
"I don't doubt my quality and I'm sure you're going to see the best version of me. At Norwich I was amazing, but at Bournemouth, I had an injury and it's difficult to come back.
"But I have no doubts about myself. I come from the Premier League and I know how hard it is to play there and also here in La Liga. It's going to be a big effort, there are big teams, but I'm convinced that I'm going to adapt very quickly".
Former Valencia player Justin Kluivert has played an interesting part in getting to know the idiosyncrasies of the club.
"Everyone in the world knows the size and importance of Valencia CF. I was talking to Kluivert and he told me incredible things about the club. He was here in a similar situation."
