Getafe, who have been somewhat inconsistent at the start of the season, know what it takes to make life difficult for Barcelona, although Flick’s side were in outstanding form before the international break.

Fewer than a dozen corners

We have found an interesting corners market for this match. The attacking dynamo Barcelona have been during this opening part of the season has changed many odds, generally shortening them in markets related to the team’s attacking output.

However, only one of Flick’s last five competitive matches has featured 12 or more total corners. That may be because those matches were decided very early, but it is a statistic we have seen in only two of Getafe’s nine competitive matches this season and in neither of the last two meetings between the sides.

We are therefore expecting fewer than a dozen total corners in this match.

Barcelona win without conceding

This is a very difficult match for the home side, given the competitiveness of the Azulones and their charismatic manager.

However, we believe it is very possible that Getafe will fail to score, despite Barça having conceded in their last four competitive matches.

Getafe have yet to score away from home in this league (P3), and they have not found the net at Barcelona’s ground, whichever stadium that may be, since 2021.

They have therefore failed to score in each of their last four visits to Barcelona.

Barça to score between three and six goals

This prediction is riskier than it may appear, which is why we have some reservations. We will have to see what kind of form Barça are in after so many weeks without playing, as well as Getafe’s condition after having had plenty of time to prepare for the match.

However, it is not a bad price, given that all of Barcelona’s matches this season, apart from the visit of Athletic, who could have conceded more goals (2-0), and Racing, who did concede them (7-2), have seen Flick’s side score within that range.
