Valencia vs. Levante (Friday, 8:00pm GMT)

Valencia vs. Levante
Valencia vs. LevanteAFP

Valencia head into the derby having scored seven goals in their last five official matches at the Mestalla, failing to find the net in only one game. In three of their last five fixtures, the total goals have exceeded 1.5, and when facing Levante, the attacking tempo usually ramps up: The last four official derbies at the Mestalla have all seen at least two goals (1-1 in 2022, 1-0 in 2021, 4-2 in 2019, and 3-1 in 2018). It also helps that Levante have been conceding with ease, shipping 10 goals in their last five league games, suffering defeats of 3-1, 2-1, and 3-0 in that run, highlighting a worrying trend when it comes to defending away from home.

Levante haven’t won a derby at the Mestalla since 1937 and have gone over a decade without picking up a point there in official matches, except for the 1-1 draw in 2022, a result that shows how Valencia, even at their lowest, tend to avoid defeat against their eternal rivals at home. Recent stats back this up: Valencia have lost just once at the Mestalla in their last four official games, while Levante have been beaten in three of their last four away league fixtures

Tip: Valencia or draw and over 1.5 goals - 8/13 @ bet365

Bet Explanation: The bet wins if Valencia avoid defeat and there are two or more goals in total.

Barcelona vs Athletic Club (Saturday, 5:30pm GMT)

Barcelona vs Athletic Club

Barcelona’s return to Camp Nou comes at a great time for their attack. They have scored 14 goals in their last five matches, with three games comfortably surpassing 2.5 goals (4-2 against Celta, 3-3 with Brugge, and 6-1 over Olympiacos). In LaLiga, Flick’s side have shown that the tempo at home is always high and coming back to the stadium will bring an emotional and energetic boost, and with most of the stands open, the stage is set for an end-to-end contest, especially against a rival they’re eager to face.

Athletic have had a run of high-scoring away games, conceding five goals in their last two trips (3-2 at Anoeta and 2-0 in Newcastle). Previous meetings between the sides are telling too, with six of their last ten clashes in Barcelona having seen three or more goals

Tip: Over 2.5 goals - 8/15 @ bet365

Bet Explanation: This wins if there are three or more goals in total.

Villarreal vs Mallorca (Saturday, 8:00pm GMT)

Villarreal vs Mallorca
Villarreal vs MallorcaAFP

Villarreal are enjoying one of their best spells of the season, scoring 12 goals in their last five matches, including three big wins (0-6 in the Cup, 4-0 against Rayo, 0-2 at Mestalla). In their last two home league games, they’ve scored six, and overall, the team seems to have rediscovered the incisive, direct style that defines them when their attack is in full flow. They’ve produced two or more goals in five of their last seven official matches, showing a clear upward trend in attack, with several players hitting form.

Mallorca, on the other hand, are much more vulnerable away from home. They’ve conceded seven goals in their last three away league games (3-0 in Seville, 3-0 at Villamarín, and 1-0 in Getafe) and tend to struggle whenever the opposition raises the tempo. The head-to-head record also supports this: Villarreal have scored at least two goals in five of their last eight home games against Mallorca, including a 4-0 win last January.

Tip: Villarreal to score over 1.5 goals - 1/2

Bet Explanation: The bet is successful if Villarreal score two or more goals.

Real Betis vs Girona (Sunday, 3:15pm GMT)

Real Betis vs Girona
Real Betis vs GironaAFP

Betis are in a strong and, above all, consistent attacking run. They’ve scored nine goals in their last five matches at Villamarín, and crucially, most of those goals have been spread across both halves. Overall in LaLiga, they’ve netted 10 goals in six home games.

Girona, meanwhile, struggle away from Montilivi. They’re the third-worst travellers (11 goals conceded in five games) and have let in goals in every away league match this season. They recently conceded two goals in Getafe, two against Barcelona, one against Athletic Club and Celta Vigo, and five against Villarreal (a team with a similar profile to Pellegrini’s side).

Tip: Real Betis to score in both halves - 5/4 @ bet365

Bet Explanation: The home side must score in both halves, regardless of the final result.

Getafe vs Atlético de Madrid (Sunday, 5:30pm GMT)

Getafe vs Atlético de Madrid
Getafe vs Atlético de MadridAFP

Atlético come into this match in a run that suggests they’ll dominate at least one half of the game. Simeone’s men have scored in four of their last five matches, with three consecutive league wins where they’ve always won at least one half (3-1 against Levante, 3-0 over Sevilla, 2-0 against Betis). Atlético also tend to start games at a high tempo, opening the scoring in three of their last four wins before half-time (the exception was a 3-0 home win over Sevilla), showing their ability to break games open early or, if needed, respond strongly after the break.

Getafe are competing well but struggle against the top opposition. They’ve picked up important home wins (2-1 over Girona, 2-0 against Oviedo), but when hosting top-four sides, the story changes. They failed to score against Real Madrid and have spent two seasons conceding goals to Atlético in at least one half whenever they meet at the Coliseum. The recent record is clear: Atlético have won at least one half in three of their last four official visits to Getafe, with scorelines like 0-3, 1-2, and another 0-3.

Tip: Atlético de Madrid to win any half - 1/2 @ bet365

Bet Explanation: To win, Atlético must win the first, second, or both halves—as if each half were a separate match.

Elche vs Real Madrid (Sunday, 8:00pm GMT)

Elche vs Real Madrid
Elche vs Real MadridAFP

Elche have shown promising signs at home, scoring in three of their last four matches at the Martínez Valero, including a recent 1-1 draw with Real Sociedad, one of the league’s strongest defensive sides. On top of that, Elche have managed to score against Real Madrid in two of the last three visits of Real to Martínez Valero, proving that this fixture often gives the home side chances to cause problems.

Real Madrid remain almost guaranteed to score. They’ve netted six goals in their last three league games and have scored in 17 of their last 18 away matches in all competitions. The recent head-to-head record also points the way, with both teams having scored in seven of their last ten meetings. With Elche competitive at home (eighth-best home record) and Madrid rarely failing to score (just twice this season), everything suggests a match with goals at both ends.

Tip: Both teams to score - 4/5 @ bet365

Bet Explanation: Both Elche and Real Madrid must score, regardless of the final result.

Espanyol vs Sevilla (Monday, 8:00pm GMT)

Espanyol vs Sevilla
Espanyol vs SevillaAFP

The clash between Espanyol and Sevilla is packed with stats pointing to chances at both ends. To start with, Sevilla have scored in each of their last 14 league meetings with Espanyol—a rare streak between two sides of this profile. Sevilla have also shown a clear trend away from home with three wins in their last five away trips, almost always creating scoring chances thanks to their counter-attacking threat, an area where they’re among the best in Europe’s top leagues this season. With players like Rubén Vargas in inspired form—seven goal involvements in 11 rounds—it’s unusual to see Sevilla go a game without posing a real threat.

Espanyol, despite coming off two straight defeats, tend to perform better at home and have an attacking style that favours goals. They’re the second team in Europe for most crosses into the box, ensuring a constant stream of chances in the danger area. Edu Expósito is also enjoying a creative spell (28 chances created), and Espanyol have scored in three of their last four official home games. Add to that Sevilla’s tendency to concede away from the Pizjuán—they’ve let in goals in four of their last five away matches—and the context points to a more open game than Espanyol’s recent results might suggest.

Tip: Both teams to score - 4/5 @ bet365

Bet Explanation: Both Espanyol and Sevilla must score, regardless of the final result.
