Here are the best predictions and bets for the weekend.

Elche CF v CA Osasuna: Friday, 20:00 GMT

Elche vs Osasuna
Elche vs OsasunaProfimedia

One of the most evenly matched games of the round will take place at the Martínez Valero, where an Elche side desperate for points hosts an Osasuna team enjoying one of their best spells of the season.

The hosts are winless in their last six matches, while the visitors are unbeaten in four, with three wins in that run. The head-to-head record also shows a great deal of parity, with a high percentage of draws and very tight contests, especially at this ground, where Elche have only lost once in nine Osasuna visits.

Given this context, the goalkeepers are likely to play a key role. Osasuna are particularly dangerous from medium and long range, with 25% of their goals coming from outside the box, often forcing the opposition keeper into action.

Meanwhile, Elche, with André Silva as their main attacking threat, will look to make home advantage count and end their poor run, which should also increase the number of shots on target.

Tip: 2 or more saves by each goalkeeper – 8/13 @ bet365

Bet Explanation: This bet wins if both goalkeepers make at least two saves from shots on target during the match.

Getafe CF v Villarreal CF: Saturday, 15:15 GMT

Getafe vs Villarreal

One of the most appealing fixtures of the round will be played at the Coliseum, where a struggling Getafe side hosts a Villarreal team that has historically enjoyed great success against them.

Getafe have failed to beat the Yellow Submarine in their last 14 league meetings, drawing five and losing nine, their worst run without a win against any opponent.

Villarreal are also unbeaten in their last seven visits to this stadium, winning four, and have 22 wins in 39 head-to-heads, their best record against any top-flight rival.

This historical dominance is backed up by Villarreal’s strong away form, having picked up points in five of their last six away games, with four wins, and with Alberto Moleiro in fine form, already involved in 13 goals this season.

On the other hand, Getafe are struggling badly in front of goal, failing to score in their last two home matches and going four home games without a win. All signs point to a match where Villarreal will create plenty of chances and could easily score more than once. In my view, this is a strong bet.

Tip: Villarreal to score over 1.5 goals – Odds 13/8 @ bet365

Bet Explanation: This bet wins if Villarreal score at least two goals during the match.

Real Madrid v Real Sociedad: Saturday, 20:00 GMT

Real Madrid vs Real Sociedad

Los Blancos have won seven LaLiga matches in a row, scoring exactly two goals in six of those games, while the Basque side are unbeaten in seven.

However, Matarazzo’s team arrive with worrying defensive form, having conceded at least once in their last 17 league games, suggesting a match with plenty of chances and a high attacking tempo from the hosts.

In this scenario, Álex Remiro is likely to be one of the key figures. Real Madrid have a wealth of attacking options, from Mbappé, who has been involved in five goals in just three games against Real Sociedad, to their defenders arriving from deep, who have already scored seven times this season.

Add to that Real Madrid’s recent dominance in this fixture, with five consecutive wins over this opponent, which usually translates into a high number of shots.

Tip: Remiro to make 4 or more saves – 4/7 @ bet365

Bet Explanation: This bet wins if the Real Sociedad goalkeeper makes at least four saves during the match.

Real Oviedo v Athletic Club: Sunday, 13:00 GMT

Oviedo vs Athletic Club

The Asturian side finally ended a 14-game winless run last time out, beating Girona 1-0, and will now look to build on that momentum in front of their home fans.

Oviedo have also been particularly solid at home against the Basques, unbeaten in their last three home meetings and not conceding a single goal, their best ever defensive run against this opponent.

Offensively, while Oviedo have the lowest shot conversion rate in LaLiga (5.6%), they tend to be involved in tight games and rarely win by big margins, especially against strong opposition.

Even so, they create enough chances to get on the scoresheet, especially with the experience of Santi Cazorla, who has scored five times against Athletic in the competition.

With Athletic likely to be fatigued after their Copa semi-final, there’s every chance Real Oviedo will find the net.

Tip: Oviedo to score 1 or 2 goals – 8/11 @ bet365

Bet Explanation: This bet wins if the Asturian side score exactly one or two goals during the match.

Rayo Vallecano v Atlético de Madrid: Sunday, 15:15 GMT

Rayo vs Atlético

The Franjirrojos are winless in 17 consecutive LaLiga games against the Rojiblancos, while Simeone’s side are unbeaten in their last eight visits to this ground, with six wins and a historic 0-7 thrashing in 2023.

Rayo also come into this one on the back of three straight defeats, increasing the defensive pressure against a side used to dictating the tempo.

In this context, Augusto Batalla is set to be a key figure. Atlético are one of the most dangerous teams in the league in the opening minutes, scoring 24% of their goals in the first 15 minutes, and have a specialist against Rayo in Alexander Sørloth, who has scored seven goals in seven meetings.

Add to that Atlético’s solidity on the road, with just two defeats in their last ten away games, earned through territorial dominance and plenty of chances.

With Atlético likely to create opportunities from the off and Rayo forced to dig in, Batalla will probably have to make several saves to keep his side in the game.

Tip: Batalla to make 3 or more saves – 4/5 @ bet365

Bet Explanation: This bet wins if the Rayo Vallecano goalkeeper makes at least three saves during the match.

Levante UD v Valencia CF: Sunday, 17:30 GMT

Levante vs Valencia
Levante vs ValenciaProfimedia

Levante and Valencia will contest another edition of the regional derby in a game defined by balance and caution.

The Granotas are in good form at home, picking up points in their last four matches, while Valencia arrive on the back of two straight defeats and clear attacking problems.

Recent meetings have also been tight, with just one Levante win in the last 11 league encounters and several games decided by the odd goal.

Overall, the stats point to a low-scoring affair. Valencia are one of the teams with the fewest shots on target in the league, with just 67 efforts on goal all season, and failed to register a single one in their last match.

Levante, while dangerous from set pieces, base much of their strength on defensive organisation and are rarely caught out at home.

With both sides prioritising caution and a history of tension and close scorelines, we expect a tight game with few clear chances.

Tip: Under 2.5 goals – 4/5 @ bet365

Bet Explanation: This bet wins if the match ends with no more than two goals in total.

Girona FC v FC Barcelona: Monday, 20:00 GMT

Girona vs Barcelona
Girona vs BarcelonaProfimedia

The Blaugrana have scored in each of their last 43 LaLiga matches, an impressive run, and have also won four of their five league visits to this ground, scoring every time.

Girona, meanwhile, have lost just one of their last eight home games, setting up an open, intense contest with both sides looking to attack from the outset.

This scenario points to a high-tempo game with plenty of wing play and attacking moves, two key factors for generating corners.

Barcelona stand out for their direct play and the consistent dribbling of players like Lamine Yamal, who is close to reaching 100 dribbles this season, often forcing defensive clearances and corners.

The Blaugrana have also hit the woodwork 23 times this campaign, underlining their attacking persistence and ability to sustain pressure.

Add to that a Girona side that wins plenty of set pieces and penalties, as shown by their high number of spot-kicks awarded. With both teams committed to attack and spending much of the game in the opposition half, the number of corners should easily surpass nine.

Tip: Over 9.5 corners – 8/11 @ bet365

Bet Explanation: This bet wins if at least 10 corners are taken during the match.
