After the Copa del Rey final and the quarter-finals of the European competitions last week, LaLiga returns with a full midweek fixture card. Barcelona are currently nine points clear at the summit, but Real Madrid will be hoping to keep the title race alive with a victory over Alavés on Tuesday night.

There's still a lot to be decided in the Spanish top-flight, so every point is precious as we approach the business end of the season. This week's LaLiga schedule throws up a number of intriguing ties, which will impact the situation at both ends of the table.

Athletic Club v Osasuna, Tuesday, 18:00

Athletic Club - Osasuna
Athletic Club - OsasunaFlashscore

This is a tough one to call. Bilbao would usually be red-hot favourites to win this tie, but their recent poor run of form (four defeats in the last five) gives us pause for thought.

Both of these mid-table teams still have a chance of European qualification, with Osasuna currently two points ahead of Ernesto Valverde's men.

As there's not much to separate the two sides, it might be best to just enjoy this potentially tight encounter without placing a bet.

Prediction: No bet.

Real Mallorca v Valencia, Tuesday, 18:00

Mallorca - Valencia
Mallorca - ValenciaFlashscore

A resurgent Mallorca outfit welcome Valencia to the Son Moix, with both teams having pulled away from the relegation zone in recent weeks.

Mallorca’s strong home form since Martín Demichelis took charge suggests they can overcome the visitors, who have lost three of their last four away fixtures.

A draw can’t be ruled out, as both teams have lacked consistency this year and a point would help them both move further clear of the drop.

However, we believe there's good value in the double chance option of Mallorca or draw, as Valencia have only won one of the last seven meetings between the two.

Prediction: Double Chance – Mallorca or Draw: 2/5 (bet365)

Explanation: This bet will land if the match result is a home win or a draw.

Real Madrid v Alavés, Tuesday, 20:00

Real Madrid - Alavés
Real Madrid - AlavésFlashscore

After their disappointment in Germany, Real Madrid will be looking to get back to winning ways on Tuesday night.

A home contest against an Alavés side flirting with relegation could be the perfect opportunity to steady the ship and enjoy a more comfortable night in Chamartín.

We’ve found a very attractive price for the hosts to score between two and five goals in this match, something that’s happened in 11 of Alavés’ last 12 visits to the Bernabéu (a record that dates back to 2001) and in seven of Real Madrid's most recent nine home league matches.

Furthermore, the Basque outfit have conceded exactly two or three goals in each their last four away league outings.

Prediction: 2-5 Goals Range – Real Madrid: 2/5 (bet365)

Explanation: This bet will land if Real Madrid score more than one but fewer than six goals.

Girona v Real Betis, Tuesday, 20:00

Girona - Betis
Girona - BetisFlashscore

Girona will be dreaming of securing European football for next season if they can get a result against a downbeat Betis, who are winless in seven league games and suffered a major European disappointment last week at the hands of Braga.

However, Betis will know they have enough quality to overcome the hosts, who continue to produce inconsistent performances despite a positive set of recent results.

The Catalans have netted in all of their games at the Estadi Montilivi this calendar year, but only one of these outings (against Athletic Bilbao) produced more than two goals for the home side.

Girona have scored exactly one or two goals in seven of the last eight meetings between these two sides, while Betis have conceded exactly one or two goals in nine of their last ten matches across all competitions.

Prediction: 1-2 Goals Range – Girona: 4/7 (bet365)

Explanation: This bet will land if Girona score, but don't find the net on more than two occasions.

Elche v Atlético Madrid, Wednesday, 18:00

Elche - Atlético de Madrid
Elche - Atlético de MadridFlashscore

Elche face a huge test in their fight for survival as Atlético Madrid pay a visit to the Estadio Manuel Martínez Valero, although Diego Simeone is expected to heavily rotate his squad with a Champions League semi-final on the horizon and the exertions of last weekend's Copa del Rey final still taking their toll.

Atlético's busy fixture schedule, coupled with their patchy away form, plays directly into Elche's hands, so don't be surprised if the relegation-threatened hosts avoid defeat here.

Prediction: Double Chance – Mallorca or Draw: 1/2 (bet365)

Explanation: This bet will land if the match result is a home win or a draw.

Barcelona v Celta Vigo, Wednesday, 20:30

Barcelona - Celta
Barcelona - CeltaFlashscore

Both teams return to action after their respective European setbacks, with this match in Barcelona taking place on the eve of the city's Sant Jordi celebrations.

Barcelona have won all their home league games this season, with 12 of those 16 contests producing been between three and six goals.

The same goals range has materialised in five of Celta's last seven away league fixtures. Moreover, 11 of the last 13 league meetings between these two sides have witnessed three and six goals.

With both teams amongst the seven top scorers in the league, don't be surprised if we see plenty of goalmouth action once again.

Prediction: 3-6 Goals Range – Match: 1/2 (bet365)

Explanation: This bet will land if there are exactly three, four, five, or six goals in the match, regardless of the final result.

Levante v Sevilla, Thursday, 18:00

Levante - Sevilla
Levante - SevillaFlashscore

Levante seem to be staging a late revival in their bid for survival, which not long ago looked seemed almost impossible. Time will tell if they’ve left it too late.

The in-form Valencians will believe they can secure a positive result against their relegation rivals, having lost just one of their last six league matches.

It's difficult to judge Sevilla's chances ahead of this contest, given the fact that they've just installed a new manager and their latest victory was against a much-changed Atlético side.

Before that unlikely triumph over Diego Simeone's men, Sevilla had won just one of their previous nine league matches (D4, L4).

We expect Levante, who won 3-0 in Seville in the reverse fixture, to at least take a share of the spoils here.

Prediction: Double Chance – Levante or Draw: 2/5 (bet365)

Explanation: This bet will land if the match result is a home win or a draw.

Rayo Vallecano v Espanyol, Thursday, 19:00

Rayo Vallecano - Espanyol
Rayo Vallecano - EspanyolFlashscore

Espanyol head to the Spanish capital in search of a first LaLiga win this calendar year, which makes Los Periquitos statistically the second-worst team in Europe’s top five leagues in 2026.

However, Espanyol have won each of their last four meetings with Rayo Vallecano, so the outcome of this one remains in the balance.

Rayo have scored exactly one or two goals in five of their last seven home league games, something that has also occurred in seven of Espanyol’s most recent nine visits to the Estadio de Vallecas.

Prediction: 1-2 Goals Range – Rayo Vallecano: 4/7 (bet365)

Explanation: This bet lands if Rayo Vallecano score, but don't find the net on more than two occasions.
