The final matchday of EA Sports LaLiga in 2025 arrives, and it does so with a Champions League clash between Villarreal and Barcelona; the famous match that was to be played in Miami, but will now be played at La Cerámica. Athletic Club and Espanyol play an tantalising match at the San Mamés, while Real Madrid host a resurgent Sevilla and Atlético de Madrid visit Girona, who are struggling to find a way out of their slump.
Here are the best predictions for a matchday in which there will be a clash of styles between Getafe and Betis, an interesting duel between Elche and Rayo, and in which Oviedo - with a brand new manager - welcome Celta, and Real Sociedad will visit Levante.
Valencia v Mallorca: Friday, 8pm GMT

This very Mediterranean clash opens the matchday, and it is a clash with a complicated prognosis. Both teams are flirting with the relegation places and are performing inconsistently. Mallorca, especially, are struggling away from home, although Los Ché are not particularly reliable at Mestalla so far.
Balearic striker Vedat Muriqi, who has scored a goal in the last seven league games in which he has started, is usually reliable and could do so again in this match, which, considering the above, pays a pretty reasonable price.
Tip: Vedat Muriqi to get 1+ Shots on Target - 4/7 @ bet365
Bet Explanation: This bet is a winner if Muriqi hits the target with a shot, regardless of whether he scores or not.
Osasuna v Alaves: Saturday, 5:30pm GMT

This northern clash between Pamplona and Vitoria pits two teams from the bottom half of the table against each other, both of whom are performing much better at home than away. Therefore, betting on a home win seems like a good idea.
Lisci's Osasuna side are a decent home side (W4, D1, L2), while Alavés are one of the worst performers away from home (W1, D1, L5), including losing their last four away league games. The Navarrese have won four of the last five league games between the two sides (D2), and have not lost to El Glorioso in the competition since 2020.
Tip: Osasuna to win - 5/4 @ bet365
Bet Explanation: This bet is a winner if Osasuna win.
Real Madrid v Sevilla: Saturday, 8pm GMT

In principle, this should be the most one-sided game of the day, as Los Blancos host Sevilla. Xabi Alonso is still on thin ice and is obliged to take all three points if they are to have any chance of closing the gap on Barça. Sevilla are unbeaten in two league games (W1, D1) and thrashed Oviedo last time out.
The odds for a Madrid win are low, and Sevilla have gone four league away games without a win (D1, L3), so their performance at the Bernabeu, where they have not won on an official visit since 2008 (D1, L19), is uncertain.
The performance of Kylian Mbappé, who has scored 17 of Madrid's 24 league goals and 26 of Los Blancos' 47 goals in official matches this season, does not seem so complicated to predict. The Frenchman also opened the scoring in both meetings with Sevilla last term.
Tip: Klylian Mbappé to score - 2/5 @ bet265
Bet Explanation: This bet is a winner if Mbappé scores a goal in the match.
Girona v Atlético de Madrid: Sunday, 1pm GMT

Undoubtedly, one of the most interesting matches of the day. Míchel's Girona, a team in relegation that often has good moments of play but also tends to lack consistency, faces Cholo Simeone's Atleti, a great team that has played some great games, but that, after their defeat against Barça, seems to be in a somewhat worse phase.
Girona are now a much tougher side at Montilivi, where they lost the first three games of the season, but have taken points from the next five (W2, D3), including a creditable draw against Real Madrid. For their part, Simeone's side have not been convincing away from the Metropolitano, and their numbers are identical to those of the Girona side at home (W2, D3, L3).
In fact, the Madrid giants have lost their last two away games, the aforementioned game against Barcelona and also their visit to Athletic a few days later. For all these reasons, we believe that the double chance of Girona or a draw is a good opportunity.
Tip: Girona win or draw - 11/10 @ bet365
Bet Explanation: This bet is a winner if Girona wins or the match ends in a draw.
Villarreal v Barcelona: Sunday, 3:15pm GMT

What is probably the most attractive match of the day, on paper, is also the one that will leave us without a Sunday siesta as two of the three highest-scoring teams in the competition face each other. Add in thatVillarreal are the third highest scorers at home (20) and Barça the highest scorers away from home (21), and we expect goals.
The Yellow Submarine's excellent home defence (four goals conceded, the best of any team at home in the league) may be a bit of a challenge for predictions that are for multiple goals and for both sides to score, but this has happened in the last four meetings between the two sides. Also, six of Barça's eight away league games have featured three or more goals with both sides scoring.
Tip: Over 2.5 goals and both teams score - 4/9 @ bet365
Bet Explanation: This bet is a winner if both teams score and there are a total of three or more goals in the match.
Betis v Getafe: Sunday, 8pm GMT

Betis face this matchday without a demanding European fixture, although they do have a cup game, and can prepare a little better for the visit of a tough Getafe side. The Andalusians arrive in European places, four positions and five points above Getafe, and they play at home, where they should be favourites.
However, Los Verdiblancos have not won their last two league games at La Cartuja (D1, L1), although that run of games against Catalan teams includes a defeat against the leaders. Pellegrini's side had won four of their previous six home league games, losing only to Atlético de Madrid and Athletic Club, and had only lost three at home this season, losses that came against Champions League opposition.
Los Azulones have lost four of their last five league games and five of their last six away league games, with a win at San Mamés against Athletic the exception in both cases.
Tip: Betis to win - 8/11 @ bet365
Bet Explanation: This bet is a winner if Betis win
Athletic Club v Espanyol: Monday, 8pm GMT

A tremendous last game of 2025 for LaLiga EA Sports sees Manolo Gonzalez's booming Espanyol visit Ernesto Valverde's already noble Athletic - the team that starts the day fifth visits the team in seventh, which is also one of the teams playing in the Champions League and the Spanish Super Cup. These are two teams that pressure and are full of intensity.
The Basques score and concede in equal measures in their home games (nine goals scored and nine conceded in the same number of matches at San Mamés), while Espanyol have similar averages on the road (seven scored and six conceded in seven away games).
Only one of Athletic's last five official home games (the defeat to Madrid) had three or more goals, and only one of the last six away league games for the Periquitos has had those figures. In total, only three of the nine games Valverde's side have played at San Mamés have had more than 2.5 goals, and that figure is in just two of the seven the Catalans have played away from home.
Tip: Under 2.5 goals - 4/6 @ bet365
Bet Explanation: This bet is a winner if the match has two goals or fewer in total.
