Faced with two possible sales to the Premier League, in Fermin López and Yeremy Pino (both 22 years old), BeSoccer takes a look at how the English competition has punished La Liga in the last five years, with more than 40 departures in that time.

The Premier League is once again threatening La Liga's talent with two names of its own: Yéremy Pino and Fermín López.

Crystal Palace are reportedly set to sign Pino for a reported 30 million euros (£25.8m), while Chelsea would need roughly 60 million euros (£51.7m) to take Lopez from Barcelona.

Two possible transfers that, if completed, would leave more than one billion in sales to the Premier League in the last five years, as BeSoccer Pro helps us to see. That marks a worrying drain of top players.

La Liga would be losing two international players who are also regulars in Luis de la Fuente's Spain squad.

Beyond nationalism, they would also be two big losses for a league that, in the last five years, has been punished a lot by the Premier League and its economic power.

So far, the British competition has signed 41 players from LaLiga in the last five years. With 90.2% paying transfer fees. And the figure is eye-watering, but also frightening: 954 million euros (£823m) have been paid for them. Unimaginable operations for most Spanish clubs.

What does the Premier League usually look for in LaLiga? Of those 41 moves, nine were for Spanish players. It is not such a high figure if we compare it, for example, with the number of Brazilians who have emigrated (seven).

We conclude: the Premier League comes to La Liga looking for youth. At least almost always.

Only nine sales were of players over 30 years old and in very specific cases, usually of players who do not fit in the Spanish championship or those who have already closed a stage and are looking for a different one in English football.

These, moreover, tend to leave lower amounts - with the exception of Casemiro - and some of them, such as Ilkay Gundogan in his return to City, are at zero cost.

Sales of players over 30 years old

- Casemiro, from Madrid to United for £70.7 million

- Diego Carlos, from Sevilla to Aston Villa for £31 million

- Coutinho, from Barcelona to Aston Villa for £20 million

- Aubameyang, from Barça to Chelsea for £12 million

- Felipe, from Atletico to Nottingham Forest for £2.3 million

- Doherty, from Atletico to Wolves at zero cost

- Neto, from Barça to Bournemouth at zero cost

- Gündogan, from Barça to City at zero cost

- Reinildo, from Atleti to Sunderland at nil cost
