Angel Di Maria has confirmed that this weekend's match against Braga was his last for Benfica in the Portuguese league, meaning he will leave at the end of the season.

"It wasn't the final result we wanted in the league. We worked hard to achieve (our) goal," said the Argentine star in a social media post after the 1-1 draw.

"It's hard to finish like this after such a long year. It was my last league game in this shirt and I'm proud to have been able to wear it again," added Di Maria, who first played for Benfica between 2007 and 2010.

"We still have a final on Sunday and we're going to go in with all our will and joy to win it. Together, as always. Thank you for your support..."

Di Maria's contract with the Eagles expires at the end of the season and he has already confirmed that he will not be renewing his deal.

However, in addition to the Portuguese Cup final against Sporting, the Argentina icon could also take part in the Club World Cup with Benfica.
