In 2025, the squad led by Enrique nearly won every trophy available. They started with the Trophee des Champions in January, followed by Ligue 1, the Coupe de France, the Champions League, the UEFA Super Cup, and the Intercontinental Cup in December.
The only trophy that slipped away was the inaugural edition of the new Club World Cup this summer, where they lost in the final to Chelsea after thrashing Inter Miami in the round of 16 (4-0), Bayern Munich (2-0) in the quarter-finals, and Real Madrid (4-0) in the semi-finals.
So PSG "settled" for a sextuple - an achievement no French club had ever dreamed of before. Marseille managed a league and Champions League double in 1993, but were banned from the Intercontinental Cup after the VA-OM corruption scandal.
Making history
For the fourth consecutive season, the capital club won the national league, claimed a 16th domestic cup, and lifted their 13th national Super Cup. In France, PSG hold every record. Until 2025, the Champions League was the only major trophy missing from their collection.
For years, disappointment followed disappointment, but on May 31st, Enrique's men finally lifted the famous trophy after a dazzling 5-0 win over Inter.
That victory secured their place in history, but more broadly, PSG dominated world football in 2025, starting with a phenomenal first half of the year that began with a dramatic comeback at Parc des Princes against Manchester City.
What followed is well known: after a punishing playoff against Brest (3-0, 7-0), PSG knocked out all the Premier League giants (Liverpool, Aston Villa, Arsenal) before delivering their masterpiece in Munich, not far from the Olympic Stadium where OM were crowned against AC Milan 32 years earlier.
Long criticised for failing to deliver on the continental stage when it mattered most, PSG finally reached the pinnacle in 2025.
