Newcastle meet Marseille at the Orange Velodrome in what is the first ever meeting between the two sides.
Howe’s side have beaten Union SG, Benfica and Athletic Bilbao so far and will seek to continue their fine form against the Ligue 1 side.
Are Newcastle prepared?
Howe first spoke on the atmosphere he will step into and how his side are preparing for another European clash.
"The atmosphere will be red hot.
"We travelled early, we will train at the stadium. Tomorrow we will prepare differently to keep the players mentally engaged."
Newcastle must be consistent
Next, Howe was asked about consistency and how the Magpies must keep their form up heading into the clash against Marseille on Tuesday night.
"We just want to win the game. In terms of qualification and being able to rotate the team later in the tournament, of course, if we are in a position where we are able to do that then great, but at the moment we are still in the thick of the Champions League.
"We have played well in one-off games. We are now looking for consistency. We've had that for a long, long time. We are hoping to perform and bring everything together. This will be a tough game for us."
De Zerbi will be a tough opponent
Howe will face Marseille boss Roberto De Zerbi, with whom he is well acquainted with after his spell at Brighton. He admitted that it is always a tough test against the Italian.
"Having played against him at Brighton. He is always well organised.
"The midfield battle will be key for us, we need to try to control space and do well with the ball."
How can Newcastle stop Greenwood?
Finally, Howe was questioned on Mason Greenwood, who has 10 goals and 3 assists in 12 appearances so far this season.
"Part of the plan will be trying to stop their attacking players, and he (MG) is one of the best they have."
