Liam Rosenior has reportedly turned down an offer from French side Nice and will take a break from football following his Chelsea sacking.

The 41-year-old was brought in from fellow BlueCo club Strasbourg to replace Enzo Maresca after the Italian’s dramatic exit on New Year’s Day.

Rosenior lasted just 107 days at Stamford Bridge, eventually getting the sack after earned just one win, against Port Vale, in eight games.

According to L’Equipe, Ligue 1 strugglers OGC Nice were keen on bringing him in to replace interim manager Claude Puel, but the Englishman turned the offer down.

It’s understood that Rosenior will take a break from football following his spell at Chelsea.
