Bukayo Saka will soon enter the final 18 months of his contract and Arsenal are keen to tie him down to fresh terms this week.

Since coming through the Hale End academy, Saka has become one of Arsenal's most important players under manager Mikel Arteta, who has seen the winger transform from a teenager to one of the best wingers on the planet.

Saka has a deal that runs until 2027, meaning he has 18 months left on his contract, which only entices bids from clubs heading into the January and summer windows.

Now, as reported by transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, the England international has held positive talks with the Gunners over the past week.

"Arsenal are progressing well in talks with Bukayo Saka and his camp over a new contract.

"Salary details are being discussed, but all parties involved are aligned and convinced to move forward together.

"Talks were already underway before the summer window, proceeding well."

Reports state that the 24-year-old winger will become not only one of the club's best-paid players, but one of the Premier League’s highest-paid professionals.

Sporting director Andre Berta has already managed to secure new contracts for William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes, Ethan Nwaneri, and Myles Lewis-Skelly over the past few months.

Now, it looks like Saka is his next target in a deal that seems inevitable for the Hale End graduate who is said to be keen on staying for several years to come.
