Match winner - Arsenal

We keep it simple for our first pick at the Emirates Stadium, backing Arsenal to score a home win and vital three points. Arteta's side kick off on top of the league, and are unbeaten in five EPL matches. The Gunners suffered a shock 3-2 defeat when Man Utd were in town. Since that narrow loss, Arsenal have won three and drawn a couple.

In the same period, Chelsea have won four and drawn two. Both teams are in fantastic form, but a home crowd tips the balance in Arsenal's favour. Focusing on the head-to-head, we see Arsenal have won each of Chelsea's last four visits, dating back to May 2023. The aggregate score in that period is Arsenal 10-1 Chelsea. That trend is too strong to ignore.

Switching to the last three meetings here, Arsenal have scored seven goals and conceded none. That watertight defence will make the difference on Sunday. They played three home games across all competitions in February, winning each, scoring eight goals and keeping three clean sheets. That run includes the 1-0 EFL Cup semi-final win over Chelsea.

Tip: Arsenal win @ 3/5 (bet365)

Bet explanation: If Arsenal beat Chelsea, you beat the bookies.

Total goals - under 3.5

We move into the always-popular total goals market for our second suggested bet. You can follow as a single, but the odds available make this one best suited to your weekend accas. We're betting on the match producing fewer than four goals from both clubs combined. A 3-0 win for Arsenal pays the same as a 1-1 draw or a 1-0 victory for Chelsea.

As with our previous bet, we're supported by the stats when backing under 3.5 goals. The same wager landed backers a profit in two of the three meetings this term: the 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge in November and the 1-0 home win at the Emirates last month. Kai Havertz got the goal that mattered that day, firing his side to victory with 90 minutes on the clock.

Sticking with the H2H, under 3.5 goals was the correct call in four of the previous five games involving Arsenal and Chelsea. The Gunners have played three league games at home so far in 2025, conceding an average of one goal per game. The Blues have played four away games, giving up an average of 1.25 goals per match. Trust under 3.5 on Sunday.

Tip: Under 3.5 goals @ 4/9 (bet365)

Bet explanation: Arsenal v Chelsea must finish with fewer than four goals scored.

Highest scoring half - second

Our third and final bet worth a look in Sunday's tantalising London derby comes with the highest odds of the bunch. Visit the bet365 app, select the Arsenal v Chelsea match, and the highest scoring half market. You can bet on the first half, draw, or second half. Again, the winning team isn't important. I believe there will be more goals scored in the second period.

In the first of the three meetings this term, the London heavyweights drew a blank in the opening half, before scoring two in the second. In the following game, which produced five goals, four were scored in the second period. Last time out, Arsenal and Chelsea were again locked at 0-0 after 45 minutes, before Havertz got that late winner. There's more to this.

A bet on the second half producing more goals than the first landed in seven of the last 10 meetings. That's a trend we're happy to follow in this weekend's renewal, which is sure to be a tense affair. Sticking with the same 10 games, 0-0 was the HT score four times. At least one team failed to find the net by the break in each of the last nine, going back to late 2022.

Tip: Most goals in the second half @ 21/20 (bet365)

Bet explanation: Your bet wins if there are more goals scored in the second half than the first.

Arsenal v Chelsea

Arsenal win @ 3/5 (bet365)

Draw @ 14/5 (bet365)

Chelsea win @ 9/2 (bet365)
