The double chance market covers two of the three possible outcomes in the match-winner, meaning you have both a home win and a draw working in your favour. Moving to the second of our three predictions, we’re playing the total goals market. I do expect a few goals scored at the Emirates Stadium before a capacity crowd and a global TV audience, but not too many. In the totals, we’re taking under 3.5 goals. That means a 3-0 home win pays the same as a 0-0 draw or a 2-0 away win. You need fewer than four goals.
Returning to the stats, we note that a wager on under 3.5 goals would’ve boosted your balance in each of the previous five meetings. That run stretches all the way back to the summer of 2023 when the locals eased to a 3-1 result. Since that emphatic win, we’ve seen a couple of 1-0 wins for Arsenal, a 2-0 victory, and back-to-back 1-1 draws.
Switching to the recent Premier League form of both clubs, Arsenal ended goalless at the City Ground last weekend after being held to a 0-0 draw by Liverpool here earlier this month.
