Chelsea have also won just one of their last 11 Premier League fixtures versus Arsenal and have not won in any of their last seven outings against the Gunners in a stat that will boost the confidence of Arteta’s side.
Are Chelsea Arsenal's title rivals?
Arteta was first asked about the Blues and if they are their main title rivals now that Liverpool have dropped down the table to 12th.
"It's a big game, it is a big London derby. They are in really good form. We know the challenge and the opportunity we have on Sunday, so we are fully ready.
"We are all there. They are there because they fully deserve everything they have done in the last few years.
"They fully deserve where they are, and the squad they assemble. The manager and coaching staff that they have, they deserve to be there."
When asked for updates on a number of players, Arteta gave short answers but confirmed that Leandro Trossard may return to the side.
"With Leo, there is another test today. We will have to see how he is feeling. A good chance (he will return).
On Viktor Gyokeres, Gabriel and Kai Havertz injuries: "We have another day tomorrow so let's see how everyone is tomorrow."
Could Rice win the Ballon d'Or?
Earlier this week, Rice revealed he voted for Chelsea's Moises Caicedo in last season’s PFA Team of the Year, saying he had a lot of "respect" for the playmaker. As the season heats up and Arsenal continue to impress, Arteta was asked whether Rice may win his own award, such as the Ballon d'Or.
"I hope so, that would mean we have won a lot. I think he has been immense from the start of the season.
"He is an incredible and crucial player for us."
