Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has addressed the media ahead of this weekend's clash with Bournemouth.

Defeat in the Carabao Cup final to Manchester City was followed by a shock FA Cup exit away at Southampton last Saturday as Arsenal’s quadruple hopes came crashing down.

However, Arsenal are still in prime position to clinch their first Premier League crown in 22 years as they remain nine points clear of Manchester City at the top of the table.

The Gunners have prevailed in each of their last four top-flight encounters, while the Cherries have played out five successive draws as they steal points away from the likes of Manchester United in recent months.

Eze is determined to make a comeback

Speaking first on Eberechi Eze, Arteta confirmed he is available to start against Bournemouth in what is a huge boost.

"He is available. My first conversation with him after felt that niggle he wanted to be available the next week. That was not possible. The recovery, the way he has shown to get back, the way he has pushed.

"One of them I didn't know that he was determined, so obsessed and willing to push his body, in a really powerful way. When you take away the opportunity to play, you see the reaction. The energy that he brings inside the team."

A new deal for Arteta?

As Arsenal continue to strive towards success, reports have claimed that Arteta could be handed a new deal to extend his stay in north London. However, the Spaniard shrugged off such rumours and said he is focused on the final stretch of the campaign.

"No there is no news on that. The full focus is on what we have to do now until the end of the season.

"Yeah, fully committed here, really happy, and I feel good. We have so much ambition to do things in this football club."

Why can Arsenal win it all?

Finally, he was asked a short question on why he believes his side can both the Premier League and Champions League this season as ambitions grows.

"A lot because I see them every single day. The will to win, we recognise the opportunity ahead and we will do our best to try and achieve it."
