The latest round of Premier League fixtures offered a lot of entertainment and 25 goals, six of which fell at St. Mary's Stadium in Southampton - five netted by Chelsea
The Blues were in charge, with Axel Disasi, Christopher Nkunku, Noni Madueke, Cole Palmer and Jadon Sancho finding the net.
Palmer, of course, did not forget his typical 'cold' celebration and just reminded everyone that this team really can 'give you the chills'
The Blues quickly took control against 10-man Southampton from the 39th minute after Jack Stephens' red card, cruising to a huge victory and, thanks to the five goals scored, leapfrogged Arsenal in the table.
It was no coincidence, though. In fact, Enzo Maresca's charges scored 5.29 expected goals (xG). According to Opta, this is the highest figure for an away team in the English top flight since the 2008/2009 season, when the data started to be collected.
If we add to Wednesday's performance the fact that Chelsea have now netted 57 goals in the past 22 games in all competitions, making it the best goals-per-game average in the club's history, the Stamford Bridge outfit must be taken seriously again.
The rebuilding process, which was preceded by a series of astronomical purchases, may well be over - and Chelsea are ready to fight for the top spot.
